Project Manager - Rural Business Line (9 Month Fixed Term Contract)

The role


The Project Manager supports the Business Line Head of the Rural. See more information about the fascinating Rural business line here.


The role involves in developing, implementing and monitoring the projects. The Project Manager finds solutions to functioning problems to increase efficiency and profitability. Ensures policies and processes initiated by BNP Paribas Real Estate are fit for purpose and then implemented within the Business Line.


Key deliverables and Responsibilities

  • Interface between Support Functions and Rural also between Rural and BNPP/BNPPRE, the Project Manager
  • Ensure salary reviews, promotions, budget and forecast and other BNPPRE’s annual processes are running smoothly for the Business Line
  • Coordinate with Marketing/Communication and Research to align their actions plan to the priorities of the Business Line
  • Key contact for Compliance, Client Onboarding Team, Legal and IT to support them in the implementation of changes
  • Ensure Rural applies the group procedures and all corporate documentations and communications are shared across the business line
  • Taking into account the business needs of the Rural business, explains and implements group tools and procedures

Improve effectiveness and efficiency to increase the profitability of the business line

  • With the Financial Controller, review the performance of each team. Define a strategy with the Head of the Business Line to support the team who perform less
  • Analyse all financial, commercial and market information available to inform decision making

On-going projects to manage

  • Complete the review of the risks mapping exercise and work with the business to implement the relevant operational controls
  • Manage the changes in the business tools required for compliance with Anti Money Laundering Rule
  • Implement the recommendation raised by the internal auditors following the post-merger audit undertaken by the shareholder
  • Support the Rural marketing team in the implementation of the marketing strategy for the next few years
  • Overview the development of the strategic plan 2021-2024

Person specification


  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent as a minimum
  • Degree Educated
  • A  project management qualification would be desirable but not essential 


  • Working at Board level
  • Managing various projects end-to-end; experience as integration project manager would be appreciated
  • Experience in change management
  • Proficient in the use of Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Previous experience of working to deadlines
  • High financial reporting and analysis skills
  • Sound interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels across the business
