Project Managers are expected to integrate and strengthen the Transformation Group Practice Targer Operating Model to facilitate and ensure the success of  transformation projects while striving for the continuous improvement of the project management methodologies and associated tools and techniques.

The successful candidates will benefit from training opportunities and interactions with internal stakeholders from Operations and Support Functions that will provide them with the appropriate business knowledge to interpret strategic priorities and drive transformation into the core of BNP Paribas in Portugal.

The Transformation – Target operating Model Practice is part of the Change Management department of BNP Paribas CIB in Portugal. The Practice aims at supporting CIB Transformation by designing new operating models based on new business activities, services and products; identifying gaps between the current operating model (COM) and what should be delivered (TOM); enabling the operational implementation of the business strategy; identifying disruptive, tactical and strategic quality improvement and cost reduction opportunities; supporting the business in the assessment of the quality and capacity of an existing model.

The team provides services to all CIB business lines worldwide and manages an international portfolio with crossborder projects.

The Practice is now growing and is seeking for a Project Manager to join the team, eager to learn about Corporate and Institutional Banking and support the delivery of transformation target operating model projects.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As Project Manager, you will advise or manage end-to-end projects ensuring that the key project outcomes are delivered:

• Propose meaningful project structure and governance, and manage key stakeholders

• Provide method and expertise to frame and execute the project on time, on quality and on budget

• Lead the project team on a daily basis (tasks allocation, priorisation, etc.) to ensure successful delivery

• Bring top-down perspective and escalate any transversal issues

PROFILE

• Education, Qualifications and Training: Business School or Master Degree or Engineering School

• Business experience:

‒ Minimum of 8 years  of experience in programme/project management is required

‒ Previous experience in financial Services and/or strategy and management consulting would be appreciated

‒ Past experience in outsourced service delivery centre is a plus

• Work Based Competencies:

‒ Mastery of project management methodologies and tools

‒ Excellent command of English. French is a plus

‒ Proficient command of Microsoft tools

‒ Strong written and verbal communication

‒ Highly organised and able to multi-task

• Behavioural Competences:

‒ Able to take on the Facilitator role, mobilising project contributors with ease

‒ Energetic, proactive, determined, drives change, positive, goal-focused and consistent
