Position Purpose
The candidate will work as part of the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team to:
· Enhance internal applications and systems.
· Create dashboards for system visibility and troubleshooting.
· Increase the resilience of applications.
· Optimise operational reliability.
· Automate alerts and system auto-recovery.
· Automate data pipelines.
· Engineering the software production and delivery tool chain.
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
1. Application stability / monitoring.
2. Building KPI’s to measure application scalibilty/readiness and availability.
3. Improvements to DevOPS CI/CD pipeline.
4. Escalation of problems to local Team Lead / management
5. Ensuring that the project and organization standards are followed during various phases of software development life-cycle and day to day development work.
6. Maintain administration tasks; i.e. Jira to record progress against tasks, Wiki for documentation.
7. Meeting deadlines deliverables. Keeping Team Lead appraised of issues that affect the project and the deliverables of the project.

Contribute towards knowledge sharing initiatives and upskilling of other team members.
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
Mandatory
· Around 4-6 years of relevant Technology work experience. – Java or .NET preferred
· Experience of modern DevOps techniques and tooling. Scrum based SDLC. High levels of monitoring and automation of the processes. – Jenkins – pipelines, Monitoring - Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace, DataDog (Minimum any 2 preferred)
· Good Python and other scripting languages.
· Expert in tools used to store, build, validate, test and deploy software onto hosts or cloud systems. – Maven,Graddle, Ansible and Kubernetes.
· Excellent communication skills and ability to present and defend solutions with the global team.
· Good written and oral English skills in order to articulate technical issues associated to work area. Ability to communicate with multiple stakeholders with competing interests in IT.
· Design and deliver good monitoring solutions. Knowledge of Geneos and Dynatrace would be useful.
· Sound working knowledge of policies, procedures, regulations and legislation within their functional area and company-wide. Such as key underpinning architecture and products supported.
