Business Overview:



The Americas Professional Ethics (PE) Domains is part of the Ethics and Compliance Department that provides transversal support to all of the business functions performed in the US, Canada and Latin America.


The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure that the appropriate compliance policies, procedures and standards are being established for the Americas.



Responsibilities:


•  Draft and amend Compliance related policies, procedures and standards documents for Americas/IHC/CUSO IHC PE including Communication alerts.


•  Ensure those policies, procedures and standards applicable to Canada and LATAM are developed, maintained and sustained at the same high quality level as those for the US territory entities.


•  Manage the life cycle process for the Americas PE policies, procedures and standards documents, including the enhancement of processes, regionally.


•  Maintain accurate records and metrics for Americas PE Compliance policies, procedures and standards.


•  Ensure that efficient and effective training programs are developed, maintained and sustained with regard to Americas PE Compliance policies, procedures and standards, regionally.


•  Develop and draft the quarterly reporting for Americas and CUSO-IHC management, as appropriate.


•  Ensure robust communication and reporting channels exist with key stakeholders, including Regional and Domain teams, whilst also proactively providing appropriate related assurance to Management that policies, procedures and standards are being maintained in a proactive fashion.


•  Liaise with Compliance Coverage teams and Compliance COO support functions, as needed.


•  Keep abreast of current business developments and regulatory issues that may impact Americas PE Compliance risk environment.



Experience/Abilities:



•  Prior policies, procedures and standards writing and training experience


•  A collaborative “team player” is required


•  Take charge, positive attitude with strong leadership skills


•  Strong interpersonal and communication skills that will enable him/her to interact and negotiate effectively at all levels of the organization


•  Have a pragmatic approach to problem solving and flexible, consultative working style and possess the ability to drive change in a transversal (matrixed) environment.


•  Have a professional demeanor and possess considerable presence, impact and gravitas and garner respect within the organization.


•  Able to work constructively across the entities and incorporate the needs of diverse stakeholders


•  Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
