The CIB IT Platform for EMEA is responsible to provide IT Services to our Clients ensuring a Digital Market evolution, in a secured and performant environment, and with a reliable quality. This function includes Global Markets Application Production, Local Territory IT Development, the Core Infrastructure environment including Datacentres, Application Production, Security, Architecture as well as elements of the Global Services organisation.

MADRID IT Platform
The CIB IT Platform for EMEA is responsible to provide IT Services to our Clients ensuring a Digital Market evolution, in a secured and performant environment, and with a reliable quality. This function includes Global Markets Application Production, Local Territory IT Development, the Core Infrastructure environment including Datacentres, Application Production, Security, Architecture as well as elements of the Global Services organisation.

• On Site Services: From 7:00h to 19:30h to cover in weekly shifts of 8 working hours/day
• On Call Services: Out of regular schedule, we provide On Call services 24/7 to be covered in weekly shifts by team members.
• BNPP is an international company, most of Spanish non-working days out of weekends are considered as business days, so they require Onsite support -but to be covered with a reduce number of staff-.  These days and the OnCall support have specific compensation, in the same way that if it is required to work in a scheduled activity on weekend.

MISSION:

The “Digital Platforms” Domain is part of the Corporate & Institutional Banking Information Technology & Operations (CIB ITO) of BNP PARIBAS, it manages all the infrastructure department such as the servers, databases, storage, backup, middleware, Citrix farms and VMware infrastructure.
Within this domain, DBA-Oracle has a relevant role, as this component is part of our baseline and cover a large part of our databases scope

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position is focus on the Administration of Oracle databases in European scope contributing to ensure the DBA services provided to the business are stable, resilient and performant.
The DBA-Oracle team is responsible for production support of all Oracle databases in Europe, most of them located in Paris and London. Support activities include:
o Monitoring and capacity management
o backup and recovery
o performance analysis
o new database/server architecture and builds
o ad hoc consulting to application teams
o general incident and service request resolution
o Change Management

The candidate selected has to contribute to preserve the required performance for a very demanding service with many critical databases running on it.

As part of this role, the candidate has to contribute to keep a high availability environment.

Actively collaborate with technical peers to share experiences and needs, with the target being to collectively define solutions to enhance the stability or increase the performance of the services in scope. 

Provide clear communication to the management team and when required or requested

Focus on enhancing his/her core skills sets, develop new ones and share the knowledge with other colleagues

To work following ITIL methodology is part of the daily basis in this and the rest of IT areas.


REQUIREMENTS:

Training:

• Bachelor in Computer Science preferable but not mandatory
• ITIL Foundation certificate will be desirable

• 3 years’ experience working in an equivalent position
• Linux administration skills
• Team and collaborative working to develop and deliver appropriate solutions skills
• Experience of delivering strategic priorities within strict timelines
• Customer service-oriented skills
