We are currently seeking qualified talent to be responsible for managing and executing the Operational Risk Independent Testing Program for BOW in in the 2nd Line of Defense to validate the control environment for the Bank. This includes direct management of a testing team, ensuring all phases of testing are completed and timely, development and maintenance of the Annual Schedule, formal and informal reporting, tracking of identified issues, and management of policies/standards to be aligned to Group.
Manages the day to day execution of operational risk testing processes, tools, and controls
Conducts quality assurance reviews to evaluate testing teams’ adherence to procedures.
Develops and execute targeted testing activities and ensures activities are performed accurately, thoroughly, and in accordance with operational risk testing standard requirements, and/or industry best practices.
Monitors remediation status and influence decisions and actions where appropriate
Provides training and oversight for testing team.
Other Job Duties
Designs and develop testing strategies and methodologies to assess the effectiveness of the bank’s practices used to validate the control environment across all lines of business and corporate staff groups.
Reviews new and pending policies; which have potential impact on the testing program
Support other areas in Operational Risk to support initiatives and projects aligned to larger risk strategies
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requires broad management experience to lead teams. Typically has mastery level knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with broad understanding of other areas within the job function.
Requires minimum 5 - 10 years of directly related experience in risk management and/or auditing operations in a financial, banking institution, or regulatory agency.
Strong organizational and supervisory skills.
Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration/coordination/liaison functions.
Strong oral and written skills for composing and editing of reports and presentations.
Strong knowledge of Banking Operational Risk Policies.
Analytical, forward, and critical thinker; ability to prioritize, create order, multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's Degree Required
- Master's Degree Preferred
