RISK Operational Risk & Control (thereafter “RISK ORC”) CIB is a second line of defense on CIB activities that include Global Markets and Corporate Banking.
As a second line of defense, RISK ORC CIB aims to provide RISK and CIB senior Management with a global, transparent, exhaustive and consistent front to back consolidated view on operational risks for CIB activities in order to contribute to the reduction of operational risk and better responds to Regulator’s expectations. The mandate also includes the constructive challenge and supervision of the Operational Risk management of CIB activities for operational risk process and themes assigned to RISK.
To that end, RISK ORC CIB relies on an effective operational risk management set up organized around four geographies (Americas, APAC, United Kingdom, and EMEA excluding UK) and two Business Lines with global reach (BP2S and Global Markets).
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting directly to the Operational Risk Testing Team Manager, the Controller will contribute to:
The comprehensive deployment, execution and reporting on the operational risk Control Testing Plan defined for Global Banking, with a dedicated focus on the credit process (origination, decision, monitoring and reporting):
Control plan definition and deployment: identification and understanding of the first line controls to verify / re-perform
Control plan execution: Verification and / or re-performance of controls executed by the first line to ensure the effectiveness of the control
Control plan reporting: preparations of the support documentation that will serve to the reporting of the control plan results
Remediation: support to the definition of the remediation actions in collaboration with the first line based on the control plan results.
The support of RISK ORC CIB Global Banking team in providing RISK and Senior Management with a synthetic, transparent, exhaustive and consistent Front to Back view of Operational Risk across activities
The work will be in direct strong coordination with:
Degree in Business or Finance (or related areas)
Minimum of 1 year of experience within the Banking industry
Knowledge of the CIB businesses, products and processes
Experience and / or interest in the Operational Risk Management area
Experience in a Business Line, Audit or Risk
General awareness on Risk Management
English fluency; French will be considered a plus
Organized and detail oriented
Solid interpersonal and communication skills
Dynamic and with a proactive mind-set
Autonomous and problem solver
