  • The Operational Risk Officer takes part of running the control framework relating to all operational risks including fraud, third party, conduct, data protection, information and technology risks and others risk types. To do so, the Operational Risk Analyst plays the four following roles
    • Check and challenge
    • Independent testing
    • Operational and permanent control for RISK activities
    • Transversal missions
  • Both RISK WM ORM (including ICT activity) and RISK WM DPO organizations are adapted to the WM one. At Head Office level, both ORM and DPO animate a global community allowing a 360° view on the correct insertion of the control framework
  • Thus, more globally, the Operational Risk Officer contributes to the whole action plans of ORM and DPO teams such as controls, reporting or global animation of the ORM and DPO community and network. This animation can also be made through dedicated training and the operational insertion of norms and standards

Your Main Activities Are

  • Independent testing
    • Contribution to the independent control testing plan by giving support to the RISK WM ORM and DPO teams located in Paris
    • Contribution to the independent control testing plan by giving support to the RISK WM ORM and DPO teams located in Paris
  • WM ORM or to RISK WM DPO. Objective is to provide synthetic, comprehensive and actionable testing results and submit them to RISK ORM/DPO teams
  • Operational and permanent control for RISK WM GAIM activities
    • Support RISK WM Managers in the identification and assessment of risks and controls (Risk and Control Self-Assessment)
    • Participation in the definition and the implementation of the controls, as well as the monitoring and analysis frameworks
    • Management of the RISK incidents
  • Production all the reports and dashboards needed for ensuring a strong monitoring (RCSA, remediation plans, RISK ICC
  • Ensuring of a good cooperation with RISK LOD2
  • Management of RISK procedures by ensuring that either Group or local procedure requirements are well implemented and regularly updated
  • Performing/driving the risk identification and assessment in liaison with independent control Functions when needed, ensuring validation by the relevant management level and consistency with the defined risk tolerance
  • Transversal activities 
  • Control effective implementation of guidelines on operational risk and data protection issued by the Group
  • Monitor progress of ongoing initiatives with appropriate KPIs and dashboards
  • Follow-up (when relevant) of the resolution plan related to recommendations issued by both internal and external auditors and regulators
  • Contribute to the governance and the coordination of both ORM and DPO activities by producing materials to be presented to steering instances
  • Periodically report operational risk and data protection status to his hierarchy and all the stakeholders through dashboards and dedicated analysis

Profile and Skills to Success

  • Bachelor's. Degree in Business or Finance
  • Experience in the financial sector (2 to 4 years)
  • Advanced level of English, both written and oral
  • Advanced level of Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge in Tableau, VBA and Python
  • Knowledge in Risk Management
  • Organisational skills
  • Attention to detail/rigor
  • Proactivity
  • Communication skills, both oral and written
  • Teamwork skills
