BNP Paribas Norway Branch, Corporate & Institutional Banking based in Oslo is seeking to recruit a :

Nordic Operations - Trade Finance and Local Operations officer

Reporting line: Direct reporting to Head of Transaction Banking Local Operations (TBLO)

Missions:
- Processes trade finance, facility management  and loans operations for the Nordic region
- Manages local booking operations
- Supports other operational tasks for the region

Roles and responsibilities:

Main activities:
- Manage Trade Finance activities (Guarantees, Export and Import Letters of Credit and Document Collection)
- Issuance, Reissuance, Advising, Amendment, Payment and termination of guarantees and Letters of Credit
- Settlement of commissions and charges
- Work closely with Relationship Managers, Global Trade Solutions Team located in Stockholm and Global Trade Center experts located in Brussels.

Additional activities:
- Manage loans and facilities
Encoding of Loans/Facilities
Drawdown, rollovers and repayments preparation
Conditions and collateral checks in cooperation with other relevant teams
Administration of the syndicated loan portfolio 
Settlement of commissions and charges
- Supports other operational tasks for the region 
General Ledger balances follow up
Manual bookings not centralized in Lisbon Payments Hub
Management of suspense and transfer accounts
- Perform Financial Security/compliance related controls during onboarding and on every new event/contract amendment post initial implementation.

Minimum requirements


- Previous experience within banking operations
- Good IT skills
- Fluent in English
- Communication skills
- Excellent analytical skills
- Reliability / Thoroughness
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility
- Risk awareness
- Ability to work under pressure and handle deadlines
- Ability to work with remote teams

Additional requirements/experience considered as a plus:
- Knowledge and  previous experience with Trade Finance operations and Guarantees
- Understanding and experience with SWIFT message formats MT4XX and MT7XX series
- Experience with ICC trade rules and guidelines – Incoterms 2010, UCP600, ISP98 and URDG758
- Experience with issuance and re-issuance of guarantees in an international setting
