Marketing Assistant

Position purpose

The purpose of this position is to support the BNP Paribas Asset Management team in Sydney, in particular the Wholesale and Institutional Distribution teams, by providing database, sales, client service and Sydney office support. Where necessary as a back-up function, these requirements will also extend to the BNP Paribas Asset Management team in Melbourne.


Key responsibilities

  • Database (Salesforce) Support
    • Business Card / Contact entry
    • Call report entry
    • Data cleansing
    • Adviser list production and maintenance
    • Pipeline/Action Log/Statistic preparation
    • Stoneshot support
  • Sales Support
    • General CRM sales support
    • Amex (Concur) reconciliation for the sales team
    • Gift register reconciliation
    • Website functionality check
    • Control register support
  • Client Services Support
    • Back up for client services line
    • Back up for client services mailbox
    • Additional client service back up as required
  • Roadshows / Events
    • Provide support for on the ground event preparation and execution
    • On the ground support for visiting Investment Partners
    • Roadshow documentation support (presentations, briefing notes, media monitoring)

  • Sydney Office Support
    • Corporate Express ordering
    • Printing and binding
    • IT support for office
    • General admin tasks for the office

Qualification / experience

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance or a related discipline
  • 1+ year work experience
  • Financial services experience preferred, but not required
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Ability to build strong internal and external relationships
  • Ability to work flexible hours and manage time effectively
