Global Markets is BNP Paribas’ capital markets business within the Corporate & Institutional Bank (CIB) and encompasses seven global business lines; G10 Rates, Equity Derivatives, Forex & Local Markets, Commodity Derivatives, Credit, Prime Solutions & Financing and Primary Markets.
Global Markets Research comprises 75 economists, strategists and support staff, with research coverage encompassing Europe, North America, Japan, Asia ex-Japan, CEEMEA and Latin America.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Editor works with the Credit360 team which includes Credit Strategy and Credit Trading Desk Analysts covering the Credit market. The team produces time sensitive market publications and trade notes, therefore, the role is in a fast moving environment and the ability to work under pressure with attention to detail is key. The role holder will support Credit Trading Desk Analyst Globally (UK, US & HK).
Editing, review, reword drafts (text and graphics) and compiling articles for publication, making sure to have:
- Adherence to compliance and legal requirements, and to house style
- Factual accuracy, clarity, consistency and structure
- Language, grammar and spelling
Managing consistency of content and style within and between documents ensuring the high-quality of content
Ensure articles are published on time and to maximum market effect
Exercising judgement in terms of highlighting material changes/suggestions for author review
Highly proficient in English with outstanding written and oral communication
Excellent attention to detail when reviewing/editing text
1 to 3 years' experience working in the Financial markets
Experience of financial or legal editing / writing
Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure while ensuring close attention to detail
Good organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel
Excellent PowerPoint presentation skills
- Degree in Economics or English Language
- Ability to work one or more hours 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm or 9am-6pm
- Legal or Compliance background would be a plus
