Global Markets is BNP Paribas’ capital markets business within the Corporate & Institutional Bank (CIB) and encompasses seven global business lines; G10 Rates, Equity Derivatives, Forex & Local Markets, Commodity Derivatives, Credit, Prime Solutions & Financing and Primary Markets.


Global Markets Research comprises 75 economists, strategists and support staff, with research coverage encompassing Europe, North America, Japan, Asia ex-Japan, CEEMEA and Latin America.


The team communicates economic and strategic views to internal and external clients and the media. We aim to publish clear, timely, thought-provoking pieces on topics ranging from financial and economic forecasts to in-depth analysis of the economies under coverage and related political developments.




 The Editor works on economics and strategy research publications or Trading Desk analysts commentaries written by a multinational team covering macroeconomics, monetary policy, politics, interest rates, cross-asset strategy, FX, equity derivatives, commodities and credit across the world.


  •  Editing, Review, reword drafts (text and graphics) or compiling research articles for publication, making sure to have:
    • Adherence to compliance and legal requirements and to house style

    • Language, grammar and spelling

    • Factual accuracy. clarity, consistency and structure

  • Creating punchy headlines and engaging stand firsts to maximize market impact

  • Managing consistency of content and style within and between documents ensuring the high-quality of content

  • Continuous collaboration with other stakeholders such as authors and production staff

  • Ensure articles are published on time and to maximum market effect

  • Exercising judgement in terms of highlighting material changes/suggestions for author review

  • Participating in development of products and production processes




  • Relevant university degree
  • Proficiency in English

  • 5 years’ experience working in the financial markets

  • Experience of financial writing, editing and/or translation

  • Knowledge and understanding of economics, politics and financial markets

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Previous journalistic experience would be a plus

  • Series 24 license is a plus

  • Ability to work with tight deadlines

  • Good organizational skills

  • Ability to maintain a close attention to detail even under pressure

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
