We are looking to recruit a Manager on a 12 month fixed term contract to join our Fund Owners team. They will be responsible for managing the evolution of the Fund Owners model for open ended funds, building a high performing team through an open feedback culture and driving continuous improvement and innovation within fund owners processes with a specific focus on digital solutions.
As part of the Fund Owners management team they will also work to define and implement future strategies within Fund Owners.
The Fund Accounting Department is comprised of a number of different functions responsible for Daily Net Asset Value (NAV) Production, taxation, effective yield accounting and for Statutory and Financial Statements reporting services for a range of fund types including UK Open ended Investment Companies, a Property authorised investment fund, Unit Trusts, UK administered Luxembourg SICAVs and life & pension funds.
The Fund Owners teams within the UK Fund Accounting department act as the guardians of all UK open ended funds responsible for the NAV control framework to ensure timeliness and accuracy of external NAV service delivery to all UK clients. A further key output from the fund owner teams is validated fund trial balance data to ensure smooth transition to the financial reporting production process and provision of data to external auditors & trustees.
Managing a team of three direct reports and circa 20 indirect
Performing regular 1-2-1s and team meetings

Responsible for ensuring all client KPI’s and service delivery commitments are being met.
Responsible for ensuring client and internal change is implemented with no detrimental impact to client service delivery.
Proactively review team processes to drive continuous improvement and efficiencies whilst also mitigating risks.
Ensure all processes are adequately documented within procedures and maintained.
Embed a strong risk and control culture within the team and adhere to the risk management framework.
Regularly assess risks within the team and ensure controls are working effectively, minimising control failings and corresponding actions.
Responsible for ensuring complete, accurate and timely error reporting ensuring preventative actions are suitably implemented.
Closure of actions following incidents, audits and reviews.
Management of the business continuity plan ensuring familiarisation within the team.
Responsibility for team efficiency, productivity and capacity management.
Management point of contact for clients, auditors, trustees, custodians and other departments within BNP Paribas Securities Services.
Develop internal and external client and stakeholder relationships.
Plan and manage client, audit, trustee and regulatory visits.
Oversight of team service delivery.
Ensure corrective and preventative actions are implemented where deadlines and quality standards are at risk.
Responsibility for performance and KPI reporting.
Ensure expenditure is within budget and authorising limits unless approved otherwise.
Skills and Experience Required
Ability to lead and motivate a large team and balance directive and supportive leadership styles
Effective communicator and ability to articulate complex issues effectively to senior management
Stakeholder management skills and client management experience
Exceptional organisational skills: prioritising your workload, strong time management and planning skills.
Highly computer literate with excellent Word, Presentation and Excel skills essential
Ability to work under pressure and meet regular tight deadlines
Degree qualification in relevant subject (accounting or finance related)
Fund accounting IOC or equivalent qualifications
Experience of Open Ended Fund Accounting and / or daily fund valuations
Project management and/or business transformation experience
Accountancy qualification (ACCA or CA)
