Position Purpose

The High Value Payment (HVP) Program has been launched in 2020 to address the urbanization, resilience & control of the most critical CIB payment chains. The program is part of a wider initiative, led at IT Group level: the Cash Resilience Program (C@res).

Those initiatives have been launched following a series of major IT incidents, cash-out and General Inspection assignments occurred between 2018 and 2019, which have revealed governance, IT, cybersecurity and operational weaknesses.

If other C@res streams are more focused on the commercial payments under the responsibility of the Payment & Cash Management transversal activity, the High Value Payment program aims at addressing the payments  resulting from the other BNP Paribas CIB activities: Global Market, Global Banking (except for Payment & Cash Management), Securities Services. ALM-T activity is also addressed through High Value Payment program.

The HVP program objectives is to address the aforementioned topics in a multidisciplinary way, across the CIB Regions, Metier and Functions around 3 key pillars: Urbanization, Resilience & Control and through 5 streams Highway, Treasury Management, Correspondent Banking, Cybersecurity and Target Operating Model.

You will be required to work in a dynamic environment on a strategic subject with high visibility. Thus, within the framework of the HVP program, we are looking for Senior Business Analyst / Project Manager to be part of High Value Payment Target Operating Model Transformation Team.

Responsibilities

Within the HVP organization, you will participate in the implementation of Target Operating Model projects (including Manual Payments and Control & Governance) which consist in:

    • Identify operational processes regularly relying on manual payments, in order to industrialize and secure the current practices
    • Reinforce and industrialize controls around manual payment execution (e.g. 6 eyes, random validator, systematic justification), in order to improve efficiency of operations while reducing fraud and cash-out risks.
    • Reduce number of employees allowed to input/validate manual payments
    • Rationalize the number of manual payments platform.
    • Review and challenge the overall CIB organization & governance around payment processing and control
    • Propose an optimized Target Operating Model based on harmonized processes and a streamlined organization
    • Define and deploy a share payment reference & control framework across CIB

As member of the TOM Transformation team, you will have significant exposure to senior ITO Management. Your scope of action may cover all CIB Business lines (Global Markets, Global Banking and BP2S), Operational, IT, Functions and Organizational dimensions.

As part of your missions, you will work on all or part of the following activities:

  • Assist the project leaders in managing the project, ensuring a functional and cross-functional management role, as well as the associated budget envelope allowing its execution
  • Organize and guarantee the project governance committees (architecture and investment committee, project committees ...)
  • Measure and monitor the progress of the project; Develop reliable and commented reporting with the necessary alerts and recommendations to HVP Program governance
  • Participate in various studies to validate procedural changes;
  • Challenge implementation solutions and identify opportunities for simplifying and optimizing IT organizations and tools (back-office applications).
  • Manage the relationship with all parts of the project (operations teams, IT, OPC);

Technical & Behavioral Competencies
