Global Markets Operations is a global department established in the main financial cities all over the world (New-York, London, Tokyo, Hong-Kong and Paris). The teams present in this department are responsible to: check the trades booked in the various booking systems of the bank; perform the follow-up of events which have an impact on the positions stored in the booking systems (corporate actions, expiry…); resolve position gaps between Front-Office and Back-Office systems.

Global Markets Operations teams are also responsible for calculate, analyze and explain Front-Office P&L (daily and Year-to-Date).


ROLE AND RESPONSABILITIES 


Within the Global Markets Operations and Client Management departments, the Management Support team assists and supports the management teams in their governance, budget construction and monitoring their team, production, budget and cost efficiency projects.


Team Governance

  • Maintain Org charts, the SharePoint site and the team presentation booklets up to date
  • Assist in the preparation of management / production meetings (such as the Business management meetings with internal stakeholders) 

Team Support

  • Assist to create presentation materials as and when required by management
  • Provide key notes for committees
  • Perform, facilitate and/or implement ad hoc requests by management

Monitoring

  • Prepare reports from data gathering from different information systems
  • Timely deliver Dashboards for CIB GM Ops Management committees 
  • Collect from the Operational teams the KPIs & KRIs to be reported in the management dashboards or reports 
  • Analyse trends and report on significant variances, monitor Service Level Agreements 
  • Assist in the budget process, namely by 
    • ensuring headcount is properly updated and reconciled with Finance and deviations are analysed and explained
    • providing a consolidated view on the budget information 
    • support the management in preparing meaningful reporting and presentations

Project Support 

  •  Participate to projects with GM Ops managers, namely building and delivering project reporting for managers and key stakeholders as and when required
  • Evaluate situations where potential efficiency gain could be reached 
  • Propose innovative solutions

PROFILE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting 
  • Previous banking / audit / consulting experience is beneficial
  • Highly organized and able to multi-task 
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrate cooperation and constructive behaviors for common goals with peers 
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills in English (mandatory)
  • Good knowledge in French (plus) 
  • Proficient command of Microsoft Office Pack
  • Affinity with automation tools (eg Power BI / VBA) is a plus
  • Affinity or appetence for management control / accounting topics is a plus
  • Capable of flexibility towards the different tasks that may be delegated to him/her
  • Energetic, proactive, determined, positive, solution oriented, goal focused and consistent
