About the role

Our Learning and Development Team have been working hard to put social learning on the map and evolve our learning culture to meet the needs of our future world. We’re extremely proud of our Employee Brand (we’re all Journey Makers!) and we’ve built an ambitious Learning and Development strategy that will help our People thrive. The last 12 months have changed many things, so we’re diving right into delivering development solutions to cover every possible learning style – and topic – using engaging and blended formats.
We’re focussing heavily on an analytics and data led approach to ensure that we get value from investment in our learning strategy. We’re also driving a focus on Talent and internal development, readying our Journey Makers for the future of work.
So, if you want to join our gang of industry experts, you will need to be adept at a host of things!
Are you fully conversant in creating training reports, doing data analysis with an eagle-style eye for detail? Have you experience in uploading content in SCORM e-learning platforms? Are you familiar with LMS tools and Learner Experience? Can you write digital content using the likes of Articulate360? Maybe you are a whizz using Sharepoint and know you way around Office365?
Is managing Talent programmes your thing? You’ll be developing and supporting our Journey Makers to become the Leaders of the future so it’s no surprise that you’ll be expected to be an engaging facilitator and trainer – able to work with demanding stakeholders, a wide variety of learners and wow everyone with your superb approach to delivery. And, lets not forget a few more bits – you will need to be comfortable to deliver training in virtual classrooms as well as physical spaces (when we are allowed to of course). Hopefully you are not shy either, and will happily be a star on video, podcast or in short learning films which we can host on our dedicated platforms.
We operate a true business partner model – we’re might not necessarily be the experts on the subject matter, but we are pretty awesome at delivery, training needs analysis and creating learning solutions that exceed the hopes and dreams of many. Quite often, including our own!
Not shy to share your thoughts in a constructive fashion, you will be comfortable in a corporate environment and will understand the complexities of working for a matrix style organisation. You will welcome ownership and accountability, be creative and solution focussed. Above all, you must love delivering exceptional customer service. Going the extra mile is what you live for!
You will have experience in creating content and perhaps managing Talent programmes – and can hold a room of senior leaders in the palm of your hand, all waiting with anticipation to hear your pearls of wisdom.
Already qualified, or studying your CIPD or equivalent, with a background in HR, Organisational Development or L&D, you will need to conceptually “get it”. Reciting theory is one thing – but you will be well on your way to bringing this theory to practical, operational life in a fast paced, no nonsense, customer centric organisation.
It would be nice if you understand the world of Governance and the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), and have had some exposure to the SM&CR regime. No matter if you haven’t – you’ll just need to be a fast learner…
