Junior Tax Specialist

Role and responsibilities:
To have the knowledge in Portuguese Tax Law, regulation and fiscal policies
To have the ability to ensure BNPP compliance with the law and defend its interests regarding Tax/fiscal matters in Portuguese Market
To have a deep knowledge of the Portuguese tax activity, namely in what concerns to Double Taxation agreements, European Directives and Internal Ruling, documentation and deadlines
To be able to monitor and organize income accountancy, making the necessary comments and adjustments in the different sectors accounts
To validate client’s documentation received (COR, MOD21 & MOD25), performing the necessary check points (Legal Status, Type of account and Type of documentation)
To receive client’s breakdown payment files, produce the necessary documentation and initiate the reclaim
To be familiar with income SWIFT code messages
To perform and monitor new PT FINs request near the Portuguese Fiscal authorities, submitting them in PTA's Portal"
To validate and produce a monthly Tax File, reconciling the total amount to pay Vs amount available in accountancy
To pay to the PTA and perform the associated tax movements
To process weekly Tax on Transactions
To produce and validate the monthly MOD-30
To check status of all reclaims (MOD-22 / 25 & Reclamações Graciosas) pending on the PTA side
To produce and validate the amendments of MOD-30
To produce and validate the annually MOD-10 / MOD-39 / MOD-31
Bachelor Degree in Law, Finance or Economy (post-graduate, preferable)
Fluent in English (mandatory)
Previous professional experience required (in Fiscal areas)
