By joining the IT stream of the General Inspection (IG), you will live several lives! 

BNP Paribas' General Inspection is an integrated, global and independent function responsible for periodic audit. As the Group's third line of defence, the Inspectors audit all France and international entities to assess their governance, risk management and control framework.  

The General Inspection supports the Group's strategy and accompanies it in its transformation.  

Integrated into the IG IT stream, you carry out missions in different teams/activities/entities/countries.

Through at least 3 missions per year in France or abroad and a specific training program throughout your career at IG, this position will be a career accelerator for you.  It will allow you to boost your skills and knowledge of the IT field: Development & Project Management, Production, IT Governance, Security and Business Continuity 

Daily, your role will be to carry out the diagnosis and risk assessment phase by ensuring collection, analysis, and control work within the audited environment. You will participate to reports to the management of the audited entities by presenting your conclusions. 

Finally, you will make recommendations to improve the operation of the audited entity, or even the Group. 
 

To do this, you will be able to rely on a solid training and personal development course, aimed at excellence, but also on Senior Heads of Mission and IT Inspectors. 

Your responsibilities will evolve during your 3-year career at IG, allowing you gradually, and depending on your performance, to lead independently one or more themes within the missions and to support the skills development of less experienced auditors.

The work environment is important! 

under the direct authority of the Chief Executive Officer of BNP Paribas, the General Inspection carries out its missions independently on all the group's businesses in France and abroad and provides the organization with assurance on the degree of control of its operations. Recommendations made after the audit missions help the Group to strengthen the effectiveness of its risk control systems, and thus to achieve its objectives and meet its strategic challenges.

BNP Paribas' General Inspection is located at the Millennium (Paris 19), in a modern building with all the accommodations (concierge services, company restaurants, fitness room, etc.). 

Home working is possible depending on the nature and location of the missions. 

Concretely, you will be based in Paris 19th but the missions (lasting about 10 weeks each) may take place elsewhere, in specific entities or on transversal themes common to several entities of the Group, in France (mainly in Ile de France) and abroad. 

What about the package? 

This is an important subject; we will value your training and experience! 

Depending on your level of skills and experience, we will offer you an adapted package consisting of a fixed salary, an individual bonus as well as an incentive and profit-sharing scheme but also many social benefits. 

And after this position ? 

After 3 years, you will be able to evolve into the General Inspection as "head of mission" whose role is to supervise audit missions. 

You will also be able to take on the diverse opportunities within the Group : your experience within the General Inspectorate will have allowed you to broaden your skills thanks to the many subjects and themes addressed ; you could thus take on responsibilities at higher levels.

Are you our next IT Inspector? 

Yes, if you are graduated from a Bac+5 (Engineer or University) in IT Systems and have working at least 3 years in IT (excluding alternance / traineeship) helping you to acquire IT technical skills in at least one of the following 5 themes: development & project management, production, IT governance, IT security and IT continuity.  

Knowledge of the BNP Paribas Group, information systems architecture, new technologies such as Cloud, Cyber Security or IT Audit techniques will be an additional asset.  

Strong working knowledge in English is required (minimum 3 in both oral and written Bright tests). 

French language understanding is required. 

This position requires very good oral and written communication, analytical and synthesis skills, as well as great rigor. Strong organizational and collaborative skills are also required to succeed.  

In addition, your ability to adapt quickly to multiple situations, environments, and interlocutors, as well as to the pace of missions, will also be essential.  

At last, you are available for frequent travels (3 missions, lasting about 10 weeks each, per year in France or abroad).
