FXO is a back office settlement system for FX and Money Markets (FXMM) back office (BO). It receives trades from multiple front office systems and performs certain settlement operations. This is an in-house multi product settlement system, used globally at BNPP. It is transforming to be the settlement layer for all trades across asset classes at BNPP. It is responsible for the STP of the Back Office Processes for confirmation, accounting, treasury announcements and payments. The application is primarily developed in C with strong usage of Oracle PL/SQL and IBM MQ. It has a web based front end that has been developed on the ASP.NET platform.
This role offers exciting opportunity to the candidate to get exposed to critical settlement and regulatory reporting process along with direct interaction with business professionals located in London and Paris. Project: The concerned team works for Forex and Money Markets back office settlement systems under Global Markets. This team is distributed across London, Mumbai and Paris. The role is for Mumbai and specifically that of a linux C, PLSQL developer. Below is the expectation from the candidate
Role and Key Responsibilities
- Hands on developer with high levels of autonomy and good experience of development in C language on Linux (or another flavor of UNIX)
- Hands on experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
- Responsibility to carry out unit testing, support for user testing, system testing, integration testing and regression testing.
- Be able to understand complex systems and take the initiative to seek out and accept new responsibilities.
- Ensuring that the project and organization standards are followed during various phases of software development life-cycle and day to day development work.
- Experience of working to strict deadlines and seeing projects through to completion.
- Liaise with any upstream or downstream system teams as required.
Educational Qualifications : B.E / B. Tech or equivalent.
Work experience (in years): At least 3 years of professional software development experience.
- Professional development experience in Unix/Linux C and Pro*C.
- Strong PL/SQL programming experience. Should know how to write packages, functions, stored procedures, nested queries and triggers.
- RDBMS experience in Oracle.
- Good understanding of the Linux/Unix OS.
- Experience of building testing strategies and test cases and working with software test teams.

Experience with Global markets / Capital Markets domain with focus on FX and Money Markets.
