Position Purpose

The IRP (Reporting of Performance Engineering) Department within BNP Paribas Securities Services offers solutions for the analysis of performance and risk in portfolios. IRP is established in different countries with a main location in Paris.

The program RISE with the recasting of the information system of IRP in exploiting innovation tracks offered by the Big Data as a strategic goal. Golden Data & Reporting (‘GDR’) is a sub-stream of the RISE program and is in charge of the implementation and the pooling of products with high added value for IRP. The role of the alternate is to contribute, on both the technical and functional, to the implementation of the 'GDR' within the RISE program stream.
Subsequently, it must implement the right solution according to the different phases of a project.

Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
The primary focus of the role is to own and drive the delivery of the target technical architecture, analysis, development for the RISE systems supported by the IRP IT team.
- Act as analyst/developer for all core (cross-RISE) development undertaken by the RISE
- Work with onshore and offshore developers
- Ability to implement or define new frameworks
- Respect development guidelines (shared environments, versioning, team working)
- Track and report on delivery of shared functionality

Architectural Oversight
- Work across multiple projects being delivered by the RISE to ensure target architecture of solutions is to standard

- Definition of technical roadmap/strategy for BI systems within RISE and also the CIB Data Hub
- Working with RISE management globally on alignment to overall CIB strategy for RISE
- Definition of data management strategy with CDO teams in the business

- Hands-on Java Development and design using Java, J2EE, Spring Boot and micro services architecture with a minimum of 12+ years of experience of which, the candidate must be working on a Big Data Driven Project for last the 3+ years, especially, Apache Spark Core, Spark Distributed Architecture and SQL tuning, Apache Drill Architecture
- Through knowledge and clear understanding on to Big Data Eco System [Especially Oozie Scheduling, Apache Drill, Hadoop based Cluster Architecture ]
- Hands-on with Java Design Patterns and ability to define and drive custom frameworks
- Implementation of Junit Testing frameworks for Spring Based Applications,
- Must have participated in DEVOPS Design and Implementation Strategies – such as Cyberark
- Expertise on Linux and Shell Scripting – Ability to write production grade Shell Scripts for housekeeping activities in RISE Big data Platform
