Internal Auditor - Iberian Peninsula Audit Hub BNP Paribas

PERIMETER

§The auditor of the Iberian Peninsula audit Hub is part of Inspection Générale and carries out audit assignments on all the activities of the Group located either in Spain or in Portugal.
§The auditor could also participate to assignment lead by either Central IG or other hubs.

REPORTING LINE

§The auditor of the Iberian Peninsula audit Hub, working under BNPP Spanish contract, is appointed by Inspection Générale and reports hierarchically to the Head of Spain Antenna covering: (i) Retail Banking and Services, (ii) CIB & Transversal functions, (iii) Competence center and Domestic Business & Hosting Platform.
 

RESPONSIBILITIES

§The auditor of the Iberian Peninsula audit Hub carries out audit assignment:
§to verify the existence and proper application of the Regulations and the internal rules defined by BNP Paribas policies;
§to verify the absence of major weaknesses in the internal control system and its consistency in all group entities, as well as the reliability of the financial, operational and management data;
§to examine the appropriateness of the methods and procedures and the efficiency of the management and control processes used within BNP Paribas;
§to verify that the methods used in acquiring, allocating and preserving the Group's internal resources human, technological, material, etc. are cost effective;
§to assess management's ability to assume responsibilities, display leadership qualities and define management orientations;
§to verify the methods used for achieving objectives and for implementing, in optimal conditions, the strategies and action plans defined by the responsible entities in accordance with the general policies of BNP Paribas.
§The auditor of the Iberian Peninsula audit Hub has also to:
§Participate to the annual risk assessment exercise by analyzing Audit Units;
§Follow up the issued recommendations assigned to him;
§Assist in the production of the periodic reporting requested locally or by IG Head office.
 

 SKILLS REQUIRED

§Ideally at least 3 years of experience in a Group business line or risk activity;
§Mastery of English;
§Mastery of Spanish;
§French is a nice to have;
§Excellent adaptation skills;
§Ability to work in a team in a stimulating and demanding environment;
§Ability to lead interviews;
§Negotiating skills;
§Capacity to analyze and synthesize information;
