Job Description Summary

Intern will actively participate as a team member of select business unit(s), mirroring the position of a full-time employee in that unit. Responsibilities will include specific assignments and/or projects that will contribute to a practical, experiential learning environment in an assigned area of our business.  The Internship Program will run from June 8, 2020 - August 14, 2020.

Essential Job Functions

  • Join an exceptionally passionate, collaborative, and committed team working together towards our vision of creating a culture of inclusion
  • Reporting directly to the Head of Talent, Diversity and Inclusion, you will be mentored by D&I and Talent professionals, work with Employee Resource Groups (RGs) and will learn how to develop and implement programs to obtain our goals
  • Build and enhance internal social media and communications sites for employees and RGs
  • Research and compile tools, articles, and programs that support implementation of D&I strategy
  • Interface with RGs to coordinate support for their activities
  • Assist in the development of presentations and other communications, as needed
  • Additional activities related to our efforts to drive greater diversity, inclusion and belonging throughout the organization 
Other Job Duties
  • Assist with the planning and execution of D&I initiatives, programs, meetings, and focus groups
  • Complete assigned projects to own from ideation to deployment that supports the overall D&I strategy
  • General administrative and facilitation support to D&I Team
  • Actively identify and implement process improvements
  • Work cross functionally with RGs on execution of events
  • Manage internal and external communications in regards to our D&I initiatives
  • Tracking strategies and evaluate the impact of programs

Required Experience

  • Rising Senior (graduation date: December 2020 - June 2021)
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Diversity and Inclusion, or a related field of study
  • Vision, passion, and commitment to addressing diversity, equality, and inclusion
  • Strong organizational skills and detail-orientation, proven ability to multi-task effectively and complete work quickly and efficiently
  • Highly motivated with demonstrated ability to work independently
  • Experience with project management and project coordination
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills: writing, editing, and verbal communication
  • Experience using social media such as LinkedIn for branding/marketing purposes
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with others both inside and outside the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures
  • Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of manipulating data, website design
