IBA - Analyst, ENRPE - Export Finance

Position Purpose

The main purpose of this role is to support, in close co-operation with other APAC team members, development of inbound APAC Export Finance (EF) business. This will include inter alia reporting and portfolio monitoring matters and assisting in originating and securing mandates and helping out deal teams, preparing pitches, financing proposals and credit applications etc.

Responsibilities

 

Direct Responsibilities:

Support Export Finance's franchise and activities in APAC, in co-operation with other Export Finance teams and relevant Coverage units:

  • Support origination of arranging mandates from Buyers/Borrowers
  • Coordination and production of reporting and portfolio monitoring matters
  • Development, renew and finalization of pitches and financial proposals including with the use of internal calculation tools such as RAROC, CRF etc
  • Support deal teams on specific Export Finance transactions
  • Preparation and presentation of credit requests for Export Finance transactions (new or existing) together with other relevant teams
  • Support negotiation of documentation for Export Finance transactions (new or existing) together with other relevant teams
  • Internal co-ordination, as appropriate and together with other relevant teams, with inter alia Risk, Coverage, Syndication, Compliance, CSR, Legal, ALM etc.

Contributing Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the achievement of the EF APAC budget
  • Support Head of EF APAC in developing and piloting the activity
  • Contribute to the various internal reports, pipelines and databases
  • Contribute to the Permanent Control framework

Experience & Qualifications

  • Product knowledge for Export Finance but also familiarity with the main flows of imports/exports of capital goods, typical contractual arrangements for an export financing and knowledge of the key players
  • Experience in Export Finance ideally or in similar structured finance or credit analysis/ Coverage
  • Track record of involvement in deals and active execution of transactions
  • Bachelor degree and above
