The Hispanic Latin America region is a key market for BNP Paribas. While Brazil remains the largest economy in Latin America, other major countries in the region are also significant contributors for the business and for long standing relations with clients. For example, BNP Paribas has been uninterruptedly present in Colombia for more than 40 years.
BNP Paribas has a historical footprint in the Hispanic Latin America. The Bank has been in the region since 1914 and is now present in 5 countries with nearly 2000 employees between Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) and International Financial Services.
CIB in Hispanic Latin America has world-class teams of roughly 200 professionals spread among Colombia, Mexico, Chile, Peru and Argentina, thus ensuring an overall coverage of BNP Paribas’ client franchise in the region. All BNP Paribas’ business lines have operations in Hispanic Latin America and are structured in such a way as to provide their clients with the best combination of specialists according to sector, product or geographic region. In Colombia, BNP Paribas has presence through 5 entities representing the Group: the Rep. Office, the Corporación Financiera and a Trust company for the Corporate and Institutional Banking pole. Supports the area of Human Resources in payroll, Health and Safety System (SG-SST), HR projects, archiving, and Administrative processes; as well as being an active participant in the definition of plans for the continuous improvement of the area.
Duties and Responsibilities
Payroll and Accounting
Summarize and submit to payroll supplier changes requests made by employees or HR to be included in monthly payroll.
Guarantee the execution of payment an accounting records agreed with the Payroll supplier as agreed in services contract.
Execute Affiliation process (Social Security System) for new employees.
Maintain the documentation of the area (Employees files, accounting and taxes supportive documentation) updated and organized (both physically and digitally) according to the established local regulations and global standards.
Receive and distribute HR mail within HR team members.
Manage relationship with SGSST supplier according to the established local regulation standards, securing the annual action plan is approved by the HR head and reporting to HR team progress, challenges and Help needed for timely and effective execution of action plan.
Administrative support / Controls / Reporting:
Schedule interviews for candidates (Recruitment).
Prepare and submit Expense reports from HR Team.
Manages GCI for HR, creating events and following up timely and quality completion of activities.
Submit to compliance monthly reports of mandatory training for new comers pulled from My Development application.
Reports to social security entities (EPS, ARL, etc.) events such as maternity/paternity leaves, disabilities, work related accidents, etc.; and follows up reimbursement when applied.
Participate actively in the implementation of new improvements project for the area.
Student of accounting, administration, finance or engineering in last semester
Communication skills - oral & written in English and Spanish (fluent Spanish, Operative English)
Skills in Excel and database information analysis (filters, dynamic tables and formulas).
Knowledge in payroll process.
