For our Global Operations Oversight department team we are looking for a Head of Investment Funds Tax-Hub Team.
At BNP Paribas Asset Management you will lead the team in charge of the Taxation of the European funds and mandates, ensuring a fair taxation of the Funds investments, regardless of their jurisdiction and will develop processes for Global Tax. You will be working for one of the world’s major financial institutions and a major player in sustainable and responsible investing.

Your mission:
- Lead the team in charge of the Tax matters for funds: WHT reclaim, Relief at Source, Capital Gains Taxes, Tax impact of Fund restructuring, Automated review of WHT applied to investment funds, Tax documentation, …
- Ensure a fair taxation of the Funds and securities investments by implementing an exhaustive Tax documentation and by following the regulatory Tax matters.
- Monitor tax requirements in countries where funds are distributed, and take the necessary actions to be compliant with the requirements.
- Follow client requests concerning tax issues.
- Monitor the service of the tax providers: define key performance indicators allowing an objective assessment of the level of service, participate in negotiations aiming at improving service and at ensuring an appropriate benchmarking exercise is being completed.
- Enhance the processes: coordinate with internal counterparties as well as with service providers the enhancement of processes in order to keep up or set new market standards, take the lead on improvements considered as crucial and to be influential with service providers so as to ensure the timely completion of these improvements
- Project coordination and management: define with the business a priority list of projects both internally and with service providers, position the Team as a key counterparty on all tax operational projects for all the BNP PARIBAS Asset Management European entities.
- Periodical reporting: on basis of data collected mainly from the service providers, prepare a regular reporting showing the main business trends as well as an appropriate update on substantial issues and their resolution

The candidate should be a highly competent self-starter, with good project management skills, who is capable of working on his/her own initiative. The candidate should also have strong time-management skills and be capable of managing workload to competing deadlines. He/she should be a strong team player, capable of building relationships across multiple business units. Good communication skills will be important in order to ensure complex tax matters can be disseminated to non-tax professionals in a clear manner.
Education:

- Masters Degree in Finance or Economics.

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a tax environment, preferably with Financial Services experience
