RISK engages in an upstream dialogue with the business to understand their transactions strategy and objectives prior expressing its opinions and recommendations.

As part of its Transformation journey RISK grouped over the past two years some activities in Lisbon with the ambition to reach excellence in the delivered services and build the RISK platform of the future.


ROLE AND RESPONSABILITIES

Purpose of the role

We are looking for an experienced professional to act as the Communication Manager within our hub, who will be responsible for supporting the implementation, driving thought leadership and providing direction to a new team within the RISK COO organisation (encompassing RISK Culture, Communication and Innovation), and will also locally be leading the Communication needs of the RISK Lisbon Hub through active communication initiatives and innovative ideas within our platform.

The selected candidate will report hierarchically to the COO of RISK and will also work closely with the Head of RISK Lisbon Hub.

Main Responsibilities:

Responsible for the Local Communication

  • Define, develop and implement the local communications strategy (internal) for BNP Paribas RISK in Portugal;

  • Develop and implement internal communications strategies to ensure employees are informed and engaged in the company’s strategy and the RISK Function direction;

  • Responsible for all internal communication channels and contents;

  • Animate and drive ongoing and future RISK initiatives (Induction, Collaborize, etc.);

  • Coach, counsel and advisory on Communications topics;

  • Design and organise RISK corporate events;

  • Lead and oversee the delivery of company internal campaigns on RISK matters, ensuring that all activities are engaging, impactful, measurable and aligned with the business priorities;

  • Develop our networking within BNP Paribas organisation;

  • Manage and monitor communications budget;

  • Upon request, participate and/or support RISK Lisbon Hub Management on strategic topics.

Responsible for RISK Culture and Communication

  • Support  the Head of RISK Culture and the Head of RISK Communication (based on-shore) on the implementation and supervision of the Lisbon team which main purpose is to promote locally and across the Group good risk practices, encourage good conduct and ensure awareness of BNP Paribas employees resulting in RISK culture being as part of their DNA.

Responsible for RISK Innovation

  • Ensure the liaison between local Innovation expert and Head of RISK Innovation
  • Guarantee the implementation of the Global RISK Innovation strategy in Portugal, adapting, when needed, to the context and local scenario.

Responsible for the team management:

  • Identify and recruit appropriate candidates for opened positions, provide adequate training/coaching, define responsibilities and setting individual and collective objectives in line with relevant policies.
  • Manage a multifaceted team of Communication officers, Innovation experts and Culture ambassadors.

  • Assess regularly employee’s performance and provide recommendations on compensation and objectives.

  • Provide guidance, training and support needed to achieve objectives.

Responsible for managing stakeholder relationships:

  • Identify opportunities for further mutualisation between teams or for further improvement in processes operated by the Hub.
  • Maintain regular communications and adopt a collaborative approach with the on-shore Head of teams.

  • Acting as the RISK Lisbon Hub correspondent in Portugal, for matters concerning communication, Innovation and culture.


PROFILE

We are looking for a motivated and experienced candidate willing to embrace our organisation and a challenging environment.

Skills

  • Master degree in Communication, Journalism and Social network from a Top Tier international Business School or equivalent university;
  • 5+ years of experience in the management and communication domain;

  • Perfect fluency in English;

  • Strong communication skills (oral & written);

  • International and multi-cultural oriented profile;

  • Ability to rally, motivate and influence people;

  • An entrepreneurial attitude and a willingness to improve our branding and visibility;

  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with the ability to communicate and consult at all levels;

  • Committed to confidentiality, integrity and objectivity;

  • Clearly exhibited decision making capabilities;

  • Ability to organize, to manage stress and promote objectives;

  • RISK culture would be appreciated.


Knowledge and tools

  • Familiar with collaborative tools;

  • Good usage of social network and web based networking;

  • Fluent in digital practices/tools;

  • Mastering SharePoint programming;

  • Mastering PowerPoint.
