Summary

Ambitious Graduate Land Agent/Rural Surveyor required to join expanding multi-disciplinary rural property advisory team.

Strutt & Parker’s integrated team of land agents, farming and forestry consultants and rural business advisors manage more than 1.5 million acres of land across the length and breadth of the UK and an extensive rural business and property portfolio. We provide strategic business advice and practical management services to clients including private estates, local authorities, charities, institutional investors and utility companies.

The priority of our team of experienced rural surveyors is to ensure that each client’s land and property is managed to meet the objectives that matter most to them. We have a proven track record in supporting landowners to make the most of their rural assets, to fulfil both business and personal objectives.

The Role

The role offers an opportunity to work with an ambitious and expanding team of rural property professionals providing management, consultancy, valuation and professional services advice to a wide range of private and institutional clients throughout the north east of Scotland.

The role offers excellent scope for a graduate or rural professional to develop wide ranging skill and expertise in the rural property sector with full support to achieve MRICS and CAAV qualifications.

Location

The role will be based in the Banchory Office but may require some work in other Strutt & Parker/BNP Paribas Real Estate Offices as required.

Main Purpose & Objectives of the Position

The candidate will assist the existing land and farm management team with a wide range of rural property management and consultancy work including residential management and lettings, in-hand and let agricultural holdings, sporting and fishing interests, rural commercial properties, valuation and professional work.

The candidate will require strong communication skills, an affinity and strong motivation to develop technical expertise in the local rural property sector and be passionate about delivering an exceptional level of service to clients and colleagues at all times.

Professional Skills & Qualifications

  • A relevant degree providing direct entry to the RICS APC programme and/or relevant experience of rural property management and advisory work;

  • Excellent IT skills including use of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet;

  • Personal Attributes

  • Confident written and verbal communicator;

  • Personal motivation to develop individual and team profile and reputation in the marketplace for providing the highest quality of advice.

  • Proposed Package

  • Subject to an initial probationary period, the position is expected to be at Graduate Land Agent/Surveyor level with scope to progress:

  • Salary (commensurate with experience);

  • Performance related bonus scheme (based on individual, team and regional performance);

  • Benefits including Health & Life Assurance and Pension contribution.
