The core remit of GM IT APS is to support technically and functionally front office to back office systems to ensure to operational users stability.

The Application Support teams provide 24/7 support to users/clients located across the Globe (Paris, New York, London, Genève, Milan, Hong-Kong, Tokyo) and the APS themselves are located across several sites (Mumbai, Chennai, Paris, New York etc).

Position Purpose

This position is for a Team Lead, reporting to the Project Manager  within ISPL GM IT APS

The role includes operations and support, strongly collaborating with the global team and the other technology teams in ISPL. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and skilled candidate to join a very dynamic company and work in an exciting environment.

APS team member would be working on standard banking software’s & in-house applications etc.

The APS team members are responsible for providing production support, maintenance of key application platforms, deployment within the GM APS domain.

Responsibilities

 

1.     Leading a team of 7+ resources working out of Mumbai and Chennai – 15x5 office presence, and on-call support for the uncovered hours.

2.     Managing administrative tasks like leaves & shift planning, timesheets, management reporting, etc.

3.     Setting up of processes and governance for onboarding of new tasks into the team.

4.     Setting up of the support model for new applications.

5.     Ensuring availability of Applications 24x7, 365 days a year.

6.     To serve as the 1st point of contact for more than 5000 users globally.

7.     To take complete ownership of the applications from the users’ perspective, and to drive all user requests to completion.

8.     Leading the change management process for all applications in the domain.

9.     Contribute to day to day Incidents, Requests, changes and Problems.

10.   Ready to work in Shifts, On-Call support, Weekend activities.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

Technical Skills

         Windows: 

-   Knowledge on Operating System

-   Ability to understand windows configuration like services, registry editing, User management,  IIS & Web services

         Scheduler & Monitoring Tools: 

-   Knowledge on Univiewer, Autosys or equivalent.

-   Monitoring tools- Geneos.

-   File Transfer mechanism like - CFT, UTS, FTP and SFTP.

         Databases: 

-   Good skills on SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle.

-   Knowledge on Troubleshooting.

Others :

-   Working knowledge of Tomcat / Apache, WebSphere and messaging.

-   Linux/Unix, Shell Scripting.

-   Understanding of ITIL processes.

-   Beginner level understanding of Network.

Specific Qualifications (if required)

·         Graduate degree in Engineering, Computer Science.

·         6-7 years of experience in Application support.

·         Knowledge on banking application will be preferable.

·         Team Lead experience.
