MFS - Financing Solutions is a specialist credit provider, focused on lending to all types of funds and bank strategic, market strategic and marginally core BP2S clients in a profitable and risk-aware way

  • it employs pledge-based cash financing solutions that are directly connected to BP2S’ clearing and custody platforms

  • it aims at strengthening and at leveraging life-long relations of BP2S’ custody and administration clients

  • it offers bespoke solutions at each stage of the investment cycle, from bridging to hedging to gearing

  • it commits to highest conduct standards and applies its responsible lending charter when interacting with clients

  

ROLE AND RESPONSABILITIES

This position involves:

  • Many contacts with different intermediaries and stakeholders. The Lisbon CS & PM is first in relation with the Paris Client Service team, alongside the Structuring team, and the Hedge Fund Research team in New York to understand the different eligibility matrix applied to the Client’s portfolio, and to follow-up on the borrowing capacity and MaxLTV. Then the Lisbon CS & PM liaises with the various Loan Administration teams (in Paris, Dublin and London) to ensure efficient processing of the credit facility events, under Paris CS & PM team supervision
  • Follow-up of the new client onboardings managed by the Paris CS & PM team, in coordination with the Structuring team and the other departments involved. Meaning, Lisbon CS & PM will apprehend incoming client specificities and set-ups in order to provide proper support to Paris. Follow-up and communication with Static Data once the Client is on boarded, for the creation of new investments requested by the Client in our system (Hybrid Financing Technology) – in this regarding Lisbon CS & PM team merely retrieves some relevant data and provides it to the relevant teams in charge of the effective creation of the new investments in the system. The team in Lisbon does not approve nor conclude any new investments of the Client (the approval is always done by Paris)
  • For PERE clients, that Lisbon CS & PM team also has regular contacts with Warsaw Reconciliation team, in order to provide feedback on collateral monitoring discrepancies
  • Lisbon CS& PM team will also be involved in all the operational developments and evolutions concerning the offer of service and the product. This implies a regular collaboration with Business Engineering Team and the IT team
  • Ensures efficient processing of the Credit Facility events post signing of the Financing Documents
  • Supports and informs Paris Client Services & Portfolio Management team on haircut simulations, and on the follow-up on breaches
  • Ensures the reception of client requests during the post deal process, under supervision of Paris
  • Administration of documents, invoices etc. in respect of the applicable risk framework
  • Supports Paris Client Services & Portfolio Management team regarding the client’s portfolios, in terms of positions valuation and reconciliation, substitutions, pricing and static data, to check that updated and correct information are included in the financing calculation performed in Paris, in respect of the Group guidelines
  • Administrative follow-up on new client onboardings done by the Paris CS & PM team
  • Facilitates collateral substitutions applying the guideline included in the agreement with the client only and making reconciliations. Therefore, the CS & PM team in Lisbon had a mere monitoring task (of the limits in place in practice v.s. the limits foreseen in the contract) and escalates to Paris whenever such limits are exceeded or about to be exceeded
  • Coordinates cash processing related to Credit Facility events
  • Reconcile positions and deliver reports
  • Ensures coordination between loan admin teams, HFR Team, CIB and BP2S custody department for the efficient resolution of client issue
  • Provides any relevant information or reporting as required by the Structuring team (such as KPIs, utilization volume, ratios, revenues)
  • Provides haircut simulations and assess results against limits to Paris CS & PM team
  • Analysis and detection of breaches: communication to Paris Structuring Team and Paris CS & PM Team; follow-up on the implementation of Cure plans done by Paris
  • Participates in projects for the definition of new products offer and services, under Paris Client Services supervision
  • Proposes HFT system enhancements
  • Participates to overall operational efficiency improvements

PROFILE

  • Required level of education: Master Degree
  • Required level of experience: Up to 2 years
  • Previous experience in the financial services industry and in financial markets dealing desks
  • Funds Industry knowledge and financial markets
