Job Description Summary

Focuses on all the development, management and delivery of the Bank's core curriculum as well as management and leadership development. Responsible for evaluating and providing moderately to complex planning, developing and implementing learning and development solutions to meet enterprise needs under general direction. Work includes soft skills and moderately complex technical training related to customer service, compliance, systems and products. The ability to connect with all levels of the employee populations, to identify, assess and prioritize short and long-term development needs is essential.

Essential Job Functions
  • Participates in needs analysis, solution planning, content development or acquisition, staffing and relationship management.
  • Creates course content, lesson plans, audio/visual aids, test criteria, user guides, handouts, learning aids, resource materials, and evaluation processes. Creates online and classroom training using instructional design methodology and incorporating adult learning behaviors.
  • Develops project plans and/or oversees the inclusion of the training task lines into an existing project plan working closely with other Learning and Development Consultants and/or Project Manager.
  • Effectively communicates timelines and learning and development requirements to business partners and management team. Meets with primary business partners to ensure the status of deliverable time frames as well as identifies and communicates any development obstacles.
  • Facilitates a variety of training with ability to engage the learning objective is achieved. Possesses excellent presentation skills; able to present articulately and confidently under all circumstances.
  • Coordinates content development teams, subject matter experts and program facilitators.
  • Establish and maintains collaborative, solution-oriented relationships with cross functional leaders and partners.
  • Maintains a variety physical and electronic files and/or records (e.g. training procedure manuals, guides, course materials, handouts/visuals, training records required reports, etc.) for the purpose of providing up-to-date reference and complying with regulatory requirements and established guidelines.
Other Job Duties
  • Identifies changes in procedures, policies and systems that impact existing training materials or resource information and updates materials accordingly.
  • Participates in bank-wide projects to represent the interests and perspective of training programs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Maintains contacts in organizational development and training associations to keep abreast of new training and development techniques and technologies.
  • Elevates concerns and identify solutions to issues in a timely manner with all key stakeholders.
  • Creates and promotes a positive environment in line with BOTW values, employee related policies and practices and local environment considerations.

Required Experience
  • Requires advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
  • May have practical knowledge of project management.
  • Requires 5 years minimum prior relevant experience.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Business Administration, Instructional Design related field or equivalent experience is required. 

  • Thorough knowledge in learning design/delivery and organizational development activities.
  • Knowledge of digital learning methodology.

  • Strong written & communication skills.
  • A plus to have design technology experience e.g. Storyline 360
