BNP Paribas Equity Capital Markets (ECM) team acts as a company’s prime equity strategic advisor and main interface with equity markets and investors. BNP Paribas is one the leading EMEA ECM powerhouses, having structured in 2019 38 deals for more than €4bn.

The successful candidate will play an important role in the origination and execution of ECM transactions, working closely with Analysts, Associates and Vice Presidents based throughout EMEA. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

   

As an Analyst within Equity Capital Markets, your role would be to support the origination and execution of cash equity (IPOs, capital increases, accelerated bookbuilt offerings) and equity-linked transactions (convertible bonds, exchangeable bonds) at the EMEA level. Key responsibilities include:

  • Helping to prepare pitch books to support the marketing effort in cooperation with various teams across the bank (Coverage, M&A, DCM) and under the supervision of more experienced Analysts and Associates
  • Helping to answer to critical Request for Proposals sent by clients;
  • Prepare case studies of completed transaction; 
  • Supervise the maintenance and accuracy of existing databases;
  • Supervise the regular production of weekly or bespoke market updates;
  • Helping to prepare internal presentations

PROFILE:

  • Strong applied corporate finance, quantitative and business writing skills, demonstrated through course work and/or ECM experience;
  • Demonstrated a thorough understanding of the life-cycle of transactions across Equity Capital Markets product;
  • Sound understanding of macroeconomic factors driving global equity markets and of market fundamentals;
  • Ability to work autonomously and with colleagues based overseas;
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure and tight deadlines with strong attention to detail;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Fluent in English, another European language would be beneficial;
  • Team spirit, collaborative and inclusive way of working;
  • At ease with Microsoft Office tools, Bloomberg and other information databases.
