ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
BNP Paribas’ Global Markets business offers a broad range of products and services in the global interest rate, credit, currency, equities & commodity markets. Global Markets help their franchise of clients find effective ways to raise and invest capital as well as manage their exposure to risk. Their client base comprises of hundreds of corporations, institutional investors, banks, governments and supranational organizations.
Global Markets has the scale and reach to conduct business anywhere in the world and deliver products denominated in almost all of the world’s currencies. Their global network comprises more than 1,700 professionals working on our six main trading floors in London, Hong Kong, New York, Paris, Singapore and Tokyo. They are supported by regional offices throughout Europe, the Americas, Middle East and Asia-Pacific.
Within Global Markets, the Equity Derivatives (EQD) business line is able to develop truly innovative solutions to adapt to the environment and to fit client needs in every market climate. Through innovation, expertise and client focus, BNP Paribas Equity Derivatives has emerged as a global leader in the industry and holds some of the largest trading positions and market shares worldwide.
Within EQD, SCOPE (Secondary Client Offer & Post trade) is responsible of the valuation, set up and performance explanation of all the Secondary Exotic & Flow products. This Front Office team occupies a unique and strategic position, dealing with a large range of products and clients (corporate and institutional). As a result, they work closely with the different teams within EQD business line and especially sales and traders.
We are looking for an Analytics Analyst for the desk with a focus on data analytics, automation and development:
Help leverage our extensive sets of data to create new strategic reporting for the team that will have an impact on decision making and resource allocation
Get involved in task automation, workflow streamlining and risk reduction via macro development and process improvement
Discuss project roadmaps, requirements, timeline and implementation with clients
Provide day-to-day support to users for existent VBA/ python routines
Produce business reports and handle ad-hoc requests
MSc in Engineering or Finance from a leading university or business school
Programming skills: VBA mandatory, Python a big plus
Strong interest in Financial Markets
Driven, tenacious and stress-resistant
Reliable, rigorous and attentive to details
Independent and proactive
Team-oriented with good interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent fluency in English
Fluent in French or any other European language a plus
