The Intermediate Holding Company (“IHC”)
program structured at the U.S. level across poles of activities of BNP
Paribas provides guidance, supports the analysis, impact assessment and
drives adjustments of the U.S. platform’s operating model due to the drastic
changes introduced by the Enhanced Prudential Standards (“EPS”) for Foreign
Banking Organizations (“FBOs”) finalized by the Federal Reserve in February
2014, implementing Section 165 of U.S. Dodd-Frank Act.
Hence to meet the ever changing regulatory
requirements – Data Management team have been setup. With core team based in
Canada and offshore team in Mumbai; this team provides a pool of project
managers and business analysts to drive change throughout the organization
and across locations of BNP Paribas in the U.S for various work streams -
which includes CCAR, IHC, Liquidity, Risk, Compliance, HR, FinReg, FP&A
and Transversal. Offshore Team in Mumbai is looking to on-board a Business /
Data Analysis role, who would be supporting
in Business Glossary project and Data Lineage, along with added
responsibilities of working on several other projects of Data Management
group. The goal of the business Glossary work stream is to create more
formalized list of Data Elements and the definitions/terms associated with
them. There is a need for a Business Glossary of more well-defined terms so
there can be consistent language used both globally and between work streams
that depend on KeyDataElemets. The goal of Data Lineage is to reflect lineage
of fields / tables i.e. a 360 degree view on the lifecycle of data/specific

required data to ensure the accessibility, reliability, and timeliness of the

which is a sub team within Data Management is aligned with Enterprise Data
maintaining Key Metadata of Critical Data Elements in the firm's Tactical
tool and ensuring it's correctness. It is also responsible for manual
functional testing of the Data Lineage tool - Informatica /Ab-Initio.
to read and interpret BRD’s, Technical specs so as to perform functional
testing of data Lineage.
test cases in HP ALM to perform functional testing of lineage created in
Informatica Meta data manager (Knowledge on Ab-Inito would be added
various US regulatory reports / forms and able to summarize understanding for
each line item in summary format for IT team to create lineage &
status quo and propose process enhancement ideas.
to review deliverables of Lineage created by IT department. Communicate
changes to IT team for lineage and test the releases.
to extract required information from lots of excel files containing huge
volume of data.
to summarize critical issues in commentary format along with charts, bar or
pie diagrams and able to generate status report for senior and executive
SOP’s, Procedure documents, perform knowledge transfer and cross training for
proper backup in team.
communication across multiple teams including development team (IT) and other
stakeholders. Ability to translate business requirements and work with
development teams throughout resolution, implementation and delivery.
