Main Job Purpose

DEC Client solution team supports a comprehensive suite of derivative clearing services from business & sales support, client on-boarding, account opening & administration, client reporting and post trade services across our BNP Paribas Listed derivatives clearing capabilities.

The primary responsibility of the Client Solutions team is to offer support for our clients and strategically partner with them to enhance overall operational service levels. The team acts in partnership with a wide variety of groups across the firm globally, with daily interaction across other Operations teams, including Client On-boarding, Trade Management, Margin, Settlements, Regulatory, etc. and work closely with Technology, Legal, Credit Risk, Compliance, and Business Leadership. Operations are heavily involved in new product initiatives and process improvements to streamline our support model.

Job Duties

 

1. BUSINESS & SALES SUPPORT


Supporting role on business matters like legal negotiation, alignment to global DEC framework, SLA, GUA management, collateral queries ad hoc business initiative project (new markets).

Assisting Marketers on their sales effort (Profitability check, fee schedule preparation, demonstrate BNP reporting and client portal capability.)

2. CLIENT ON-BOARDING
Facilitating role between KYC, Compliance, legal, CAC & Risk to perform the below duties.
KYC – Responsible on completeness of documents collection.
CAC – Presentation of Client/new business to the Client acceptance committee (CAC)
LEGAL – Execute all legal and administrative documents with clients for DEC account opening.
RISK – Facilitating role on Credit application via Risk.

3. ACCOUNT OPENING & ADMINSTRATIONS


Perform client account opening and assume absolute ownership on client operational readiness for all their derivative and cash activities with BNP so as to deliver a high degree of accuracy on client reporting.

4. CLIENT REPORTING & POST TRADES SERVICES
Absolute ownership of all client post trades query from start to resolution. (Fees, margins, regulatory, limits, breaks, interest, GUA management).

5. CLIENT RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT


To deliver consistent DEC client experience with absolute ownership of client issue till resolutions.
Client oriented engagement with long term relationship building in mind.
Primary point of contact for client to navigate DEC internally.
Maintain a channel of 2 ways communications with clients by means of an annual review.

Person Specification

The candidate must be able to demonstrate the key competencies detailed below to the appropriate standard to be considered for this role. Skills and Competencies required: 

  
• Holistic client engagement on all servicing aspect of DEC post trade product suite.
• Knowledge of Listed Derivative behaviour and lifecycle across key asset class
• Knowledge of standard Derivative product suite & services we provide.
• Knowledge of standard Derivative operations setup and organization skills
• Effective, professional & mature communications for client & stakeholder engagement at all level of organization including senior level.
• Basic business acumen with regards to Listed Derivative.
• Ability to drive all round DEC on-boarding.


External Candidates – Qualifications / Technical knowledge & Experience required

 

Specific Requirements

• Bachelor degree  at minimum
• Knowledge of Listed Derivative behaviour and lifecycle across key asset class
• Knowledge of standard Derivative product suite & services we provide.
• Knowledge of standard Derivative operations setup and organization skills
• System knowledge on UBIX, LISA, DOCs.
• On-boarding knowledge on with regards to Listed Derivatives business.
• Client facing experiences at institutional level.
• Effective, professional & mature communications for client & stakeholder engagement at all level of organization including senior level in all channel (writing, tele conversation, conference call and onsite)
