About the job
- The RISK Data Governance team is responsible for the lifecycle of data in RISK Systems, and the management of data goals, processes, and procedures. It defines and enforce a governance of data within RISK Systems. The process results in an understanding of the quality, completeness, transforms and semantics of data
- The mission of RISK Data Governance is met by
- Defining, implementing and overseeing framework, policies, and information about feed and data
- Integrating data governance processes across the RISK Systems teams
- Animating data governance committees across RISK, including stakeholder management
Your Main Activities Are
- Apply knowledge of risk management to the context of risk data management
- Use market and counterparty risk domain knowledge to identify risk management data problems and manage them through the DMC
- Improve service provision to the business by identifying and prioritising at the DMC the data issues, flaws in strategic data management that are assessed to impact data strategy
- Manage relationships with key senior stakeholders across RISK globally and outside of RISK to ensure that the office of data strategy supports risk managers and the bank
- Influence and support team members by leading decision making and applying experience of the bank, IT and risk management to complex problems. Coach and help junior staff to gain experience and perspective
- Apply knowledge to drive structured problem solving, both directly and within the team
- Lead the agenda of data governance for RISK Systems
- Manage a number of critical Committees for RISK systems but also managing contributions with and for RISK MFI also : these key committees are the DMC, the MCL OpCo and other relevant Data committees
- Maintain the governance and decisions in the DMC
- Maintain the framework and requirements of data governance across the DMC domain
- Measure, report and action about the effectiveness of the data governance framework
- Manage the data governance committees
- Manager Counterparty and Market risk OpCo meetings
- Manage stakeholders across RISK, MFI, GM, CIB and Finance as appropriate
Profile and Skills to Success
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Advanced level of English, both written and oral, is mandatory
- Knowledge of Risk Systems and Risk Management
- Understanding of market and counterparty risk
