The Group Chief Data Officer’s mission is articulated around four pillars:

  • Setting, in close cooperation with Business Lines and Functions CDOs, the Group data vision in alignment with the Businesses’ strategies and objectives
  • Operationalizing this vision in close cooperation with the Group CIO and making data actionable to drive analytics and digital transformation
  • Capitalizing on the steering and animation of the Business Lines and Functions CDOs community to strengthen the data culture within the Group
  • Enforcing data governance policy including adherence to BCBS 239 and personal data privacy and protection regulations

The CDOs office (Group Data Office GDO) is composed of 5 domains: “Data Management & Architecture”, “Shared Data”, “Data Usage”, “Data Privacy, Protection & Ethics” and “Change, Culture and Innovation”.

Within the Data Management & Architecture team, you will have a role in organizing Data Management framework, and supporting deployment of the related internal guidelines across the Group, in close collaboration with other CDOs and IT. Your role implies an active contribution in the development and execution of the group’s data vision.

The Group Data Analyst - Data Management will report to the Data Management & Architecture Lead within the Group Data Office and work closely with Data Management Officers and Analysts.

Key responsibilities

  • Contribute on functional guidelines, recommendations on Data Management, taking into account business and regulatory requirements, applied to metadata management, data dictionary, catalogue, lifecycle traceability, lineage, classification, etc
  • Maintain data dictionaries and catalogues at Group Level and support its governance.
  • Perform analysis, profiling and recommendation on candidate data to integrate group dictionaries and catalogues.
  • Maintain group data lineage quality and synchronization with Business Lines and Group functions.
  • Contribute on functional requirements definition of data management tools.
  • Contribute to Group data management procedure creation and deployment.
  • Contribute to data quality and control framework definition, monitoring and governance.
  • Design, implement and maintain data quality control, kpi, and dashboard.
  • Support data quality issue and remediation process.
  • Support CDOs of Business Lines and Group functions in the implementation of GDO directives in their perimeters.
  • Act as a GDO ambassador and contribute to Group employee upskilling on data.
  • Contribute to Global Quality Assessment & Remediation Committee (QA&RC) lead by GDO Data management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance / Engineering / Computer Science or related fields.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the banking industry focused on data management, data quality, data governance.
  • Experience in data management, data analytics, data visualization tools.
  • Experience in data introspection using script, SQL language.
  • Proficiency in managing multiple tasks of different work-streams concurrently, prioritizing accordingly to ensure consistent deliver on time.
  • Proactivity, adaptability and problem solving skills.
  • Team player and detailed oriented.
  • Languages: English proficiency required. French and Spanish are a plus.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
