About Business line/Function :


In accordance with the Dodd-Frank Act, BNP Paribas is required to establish an Intermediate Holding Company

(“IHC”) over its US subsidiaries. The IHC will be subject to risk-based capital and leverage standards,

regulatory reporting, enhanced governance requirements, liquidity risk management, and other requirements.

The BNP Paribas IHC Program has been established with the following five core work streams:

1. Legal Entity Structure & Tax: legal setup of the IHC

2. Risk Governance, Reporting and Single Counterparty Credit Limits: establish the governance, process and technology platforms for producing the enhanced risk reporting.

3. CCAR: establish the governance, process and technology platforms for producing the annual IHC capital plan, performing and reporting on capital stress tests and complying with monthly and quarterly regulatory reporting

4.Funding & Liquidity Management: establish the governance, process and technology platforms for producing cash flow projections, performing and reporting liquidity stress testing and managing liquidity buffers

5.Financial / Regulatory Reporting: establish the governance, process and technology platforms for producing IHC financial and management reporting, including the implementation of US GAAP basis statutory regulatory and consolidation processes for financial reporting

Position Purpose

This position will report into EDM(Enterprise Data Management) Platform Manager. The candidate will contribute to various data governance initiatives, which will be global in nature. This will involve interactions with stakeholders across the designations based out of US region. The candidate will focus on developing and driving the adoption of EDM Policies / Standards / Procedures across the business lines and functions. The candidate will also play a pivotal role in facilitating Enterprise Data Management Committee and other data governance committees meetings. The candidate will also handle change management, process reviews and compliance of Corporate Governance and Policy Governance guidelines. The candidate will also be involved in various data governance initiatives such as risk assessments, serving as SME on various data governance topics to support stakeholders. As this involves coordination and communication with multiple stakeholders, ability to grasp complex topics and communicate them in a simple language is the key.   


Direct Responsibilities

  • The incumbent will be the single point of contact for all governance projects related to EDM Policies / Standards / Procedures
  • Shall work closely with Data Governance team based in New Jersey
  • The candidate shall analyse the procedures, policies of other domains and highlight process gaps within them
  • Communicate with stakeholders across the company and facilitate the implementation on EDM Policies / Standards / Procedures
  • Study and analyse the guidelines of Central policy office and liaising with different departments to ensure compliance to the guidelines.
  • Facilitate and prepare decks for various data governance committee meetings involving senior C-Suite level executives

Specific Qualifications (if required)

  • 10+ years of combined work experience in Data Governance/Data Management/Operational Risk/Internal Audits
  • Supporting Committee meetings/Sr Management meetings would be an added advantage
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • MBA Business or Finance a plus
