RISK Institutionals & 2S (RISK I2S) is a field of the RISK function, responsible for the credit and counterparty risk of financial institution clients including banks, insurance companies, sovereigns, investment funds, management companies, pension funds and clearing houses.
We are a team of about 15 people with different profiles and experiences, spread between Paris and London, in charge of a geographical area covering a large part of Europe, Middle East and Africa. You will be based in London. The RISK I2S Credit team works in Flex-Office mode.
You will progress in a dynamic and international context and will tackle complex and diverse problematics.
RISK I2S Credit teams are also present in New York and Asia. You will be in contact with these teams to share on international financial groups, their strategies, and their global presence.
The RISK I2S credit team is a central point in the risk decision process, with high visibility and responsibility. You will work closely with the Coverage and Credit analysis teams (FIC ICAT) on the counterparties under your delegation.
Within the RISK Function, the RISK I2S Credit teams are responsible for conducting the credit decision process and monitoring the credit risk on the Bank's institutional clients (banks, insurance companies, investment funds and management companies, Market Infrastructures and other financial institutions).
You will have the expert responsibility for your area (mainly regulated Funds / Financial institutions) and for exercising your credit delegation on a portfolio of counterparties. You will co-chair with the Coverage or Business Lines representatives the Annual Reviews and Ad-Hoc Committees within the framework of their delegation letter. You will also contribute to the effective monitoring of your portfolio and reporting into various governance committees and contribute to some broader projects.
You will work in collaboration with FIC's credit teams to ensure the quality of credit recommendations, as well as compliance with rating policies, credit limits and contractual credit terms. You will also be able to leverage on the knowledge and experience of other London based Credit Officers and RISK teams.
This position is an opportunity to build a strong experience in the credit and counterparty risk decision process within the Funds area and be at the heart of the BNP Paribas Group strategy.
It will allow you to acquire an extensive knowledge of credit and counterparty risk assessment and management, as well as of Global Markets activities and products, and of international financial markets.
Through the central positioning of the team and its numerous links, you will develop your network both within the RISK function and the group's Business Lines, Coverage and Clients.
The Responsibilities
- Guarantee the quality and timeliness of credit decision based on the credit analysis provided by FIC Credit analysts teams on files that fall within your delegation scope.
- Guarantee the application of Bank’s procedures and policies and the consistency of Bank’s ratings.
