We are currently seeking a Compliance Controller (M/F) – Fluent in English for our Compliance Control Team in Lisbon, Portugal.

The Compliance Controller responsibility is to ensure, each year, the independent execution of all Cardif Compliance control plans in the EMEA region and Idependent testing.

Main Functions:

Guarantee the execution of Cardif Compliance control plans in several countries among the list above. This execution follows four steps:

  • Preparation of the controls in collaboration with the Local Compliance Officer

  • Execution of the controls on-site

  • Formalize the report form and the report (also call “feed back on the controls”)

  • Share of the results of controls with CCRM, the Compliance Domains and the Regional Compliance Officers, and report quarterly these results in a dedicated tool


Qualifications Required:

  • This position is open to holders of all degrees of higher education in any of the following subjects:  Economics; Law; Finance & Management  Or candidates with previous similar working experience in Audit

  • Professional Proficiency in English is mandatory and Fluency in French will be strong asset.

  • Previous related working experience as a Compliance controller required.

Skills & Basic Features:

Essential:

  • Experience in internal control/OPC/Compliance/Risk Management 
  • Fluency in English
  •  Adaptability and ability to operate remotely and independently
  •  Analysis and summary skills
  • Rigor and precision - Ability to collaborate -
  • Ability to communicate 
  • Microsoft Office tools (Strong Knowledge of Excel mainly)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Very good analytical skills and attention to detail

Desirable:

  • Knowledge and experience of insurance
  • Fluency in French
  • Knowledge of another European language

Any Other Additional Requirements:

Willing and able to work outside normal office hours under exceptional circumstances.

This position required availability to travel at least one week every month.
