Position Purpose

Work closely with the Location Head and collaborating with various business/functions within BNP Paribas Securities Services (BP2S) and the Bank. Responsibilities include Chief of staff role, Business Development & Strategy and Client Development Governance, Performance and Control


Lead strategical review and prepare strategic presentations

  • Lead the preparation of the Strategic Committee - once a year update of BPSS strategy in Singapore/SEA (business strategy, financial trajectory and investments) aligned with APAC’s ambitious growth plans
  • Ad-hoc presentations of BPSS APAC strategy to the General Management and other business lines
  • Lead strategic reviews on demand (e.g. BPSS Australia strategy redefinition; BPSS Japan strategy redefinition, etc…)
  • Deliver accurate business reports to Head of Location, APAC committees and other strategic committees, strategic presentations. In charge of content preparation of staff Town hall, executive visits
  • Promote new ways of working in the location through various people engagement and leadership initiatives such as  Transforming for a better future launched in 2020
  • Business Development and Strategy

Align with key stakeholders to roll out and track sales performance to deliver 2021-2025 sales strategy

  • Align with other BNPP businesses (GM, PS&F, WM) to enhance cross selling opportunities
  • Drive Private Capital Development for SEA by setting up strategy and appropriate governance
  • Coordinate Sales Campaign in close coordination with Client Development/Marketing teams
  • Drive Business Development and Digital initiatives (e.g Project Mercury)
  • Support Client Development teams in preparing sales, presentations & pitch book
  • Work with the deal manager on the bid process/ RFP and assist with new business for both existing and prospective clients
  • In charge of Market Influencers governance and monitoring

Client Development Governance & Performance

  • Deliver accurate sales performance reports and coordinate with Client Development team to ensure Client Vision is properly and timely updated
  • Liaise with Finance team to monitor and analyze actual versus budget figures on revenues booked in Singapore
  • Prepare local/regional/global business committee meetings
  • Liaise with regional teams to standardize the procedures where relevant to set up best practices
  • Follow up unpaid invoices, check agreements and on interest condition schedule to ensure business efficiency
  • Coordinate regulatory initiatives
  • In charge of Client Development monthly committee and Hub Governance (set up of the agenda, deck preparation and action points follow up)
  • Coordinate with Client Development team in Singapore and other Asian locations the BAC committees
  • Ensure compliance with Bank policies, procedures and regulatory requirements (KYC..) as part of financial security duties

Contributing Responsibilities

  • Participate actively in any ad-hoc transversal project
  • Provide inputs as a key management committee member in any change management or transformational initiative

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

  • Understanding of the Securities Services business
  • Ability to build relationships with stakeholders within BP2S, as well as across the Bank
  • Strong analytical capability, agile 
  • Good presentation and communication skills

Specific Qualifications (if required)

  • 5 or more years in relevant financial services organisation(s)  
  • Previous business management experience is preferred
  • Degree holder 
  • Proficiency in MS Office
