The Warsaw office was established in 2008 and comprises two business lines: a dynamically growing International Operations Centre (SSC) providing asset and fund services for a number of locations across Europe and local custody & clearing business offering broker-dealers, global custodians and investment banks a full local clearing, settlement and custody solution in Poland.

Cash Monitoring (Junior) Specialist with Italian

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Reconciliation of cash transaction and control of significant cash movements:
    • Independent matching of cash  balances & movements
    • In-depth analysis of unmatched items
    • Contact  with Fund Accountants and Custodians to identify possible reasons for exceptions
    • Store evidence of control & upload  control results in the system
    • Escalate control results to depositary teams
    • Identify cash movements above a defined threshold
    • Investigate the economical reason of such movements
    • Contributing to the effectiveness of daily operations in your area
    • Performing the cash monitoring controls according to the procedures
    • Daily investigation of cash movements above defined thresholds
    • Investigation to provide an economic reason of such movements
  • Analysing the Significant Cash Flow movements on the system and capture the status after attaching supporting documentation
  • Sending escalation emails to relevant teams for unexplained cash movements and unmatched items
  • Contacting Fund Accountants and Custodians in order to solve discrepancies
  • Escalating problems/issues to team leader / Senior Specialist
  • Contributing to the completion and maintenance of operational procedures and SLA
  • Participating in the measurement of Key Performance Indicators in the team
  • Complying with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines
  • Cooperating with internal and external audit and operational risk management
  • Completing “monthly reporting” and deliver them on time
  • Preparation, checking and approval of payments within deadlines set – where applicable
  • Completion of OVRK activities and duties as per the procedures – where applicable

We are looking for you, if you have:

 
  • Very good working knowledge of English and  Italian
  • University degree (preferably in Finance, Economics, Law)
  • Computer literacy in MS Office (very good knowledge of Excel)
  • Outstanding analytical and problem solving skills
  • Client focused approach
  • Accuracy & attention to details
  • Good stress management
  • Knowledge of the investment funds industry and securities market would be considered as an advantage
