CIB IT Spain is responsible for providing ADM (Application Development and Maintenance) and APS (Application Production Support) services to its internal clients. It's main responsibility is the planning and execution of BAU activities, initiatives and projects for all local BNPP applications within the European territories, delivering those with the respect of CIB IT rules, regulatory standards and compliance guidelines, implementing the overall strategy of CIB IT Clusters for developing and technology initiatives.

For the local European IT teams and in line with the overall BNP Paribas strategy,  there is a successful extended team model where the services are managed from the European locations with the teams located in Spain, Portugal, Poland and India.

CIB London Organization & IT (LO&IT) as a local IT team,  is a key IT partner for the UK (United Kingdom) Territory and BNPP Group to meet the business, regulatory and functional objectives:

• Scope of the team reflects the UK regulatory & business landscape e.g. Health & Safety, Risk & Compliance, Building Security, Diversity & Inclusion, Sustainability, Tax & Finance
• They supply IT solutions that involve in-house development, automation, reporting solutions and onboarding vendor tools. There is a diverse portfolio of applications and services that require continuous engagement with stakeholders at every level.
• They also provide UK project support services when required by global projects managed outside of the UK.

The Project Management/Business Analysts  are based in London and IT developers in Mumbai and Bangalore. In line with the overall BNP Paribas sourcing strategy, UK is now looking to co-locate PM/BA roles in Spain.


Holding a position within the Project management/Business Analyst team of CIB IT Spain, your mission will be:

- To deliver IT solutions for the local UK and its global stakeholders. It will require working with multiple teams spread across multiple locations and functions, including their own extended team.
- The successful candidate is expected to be comfortable operating in a hybrid PM/BA capacity as well as a standalone PM or BA service depending on individual project needs


Understand and analyze the needs of the Business related to one or more functional domains, with the aim of enhancing the IS with appropriate and sustainable solutions in line with the entity's strategic plan and the related request portfolio:

  • Handle demands from different stakeholders on several topics
  • Contribute to preliminary studies with the Business
  • Participate, as necessary, in monitoring the portfolio and prioritizing requests in their scope of activity
  • Clarify, analyze from a critical and constructive perspective and, as necessary, challenge the need expressed by the Business regarding the entity's strategic plan
  • Create business case including alternatives
  • Design practical solutions within the budget and technical constraints of the team
  • Ensure that the solution is compatible with the requirements derived from the Business's needs
  • Formalize the statement of requirements and have it validated by the Business
  • Define, formalize and request validation of requirements related to the need with the contributors involved, in compliance with the entity's applicable practices
  • Closely collaborate with the development team to ensure correct solution.
  • Create test plans and show entry/exit criteria for each test
  • Execute system testing, record all results, and supply input for defect prioritisation
  • Assist the Business in conducting user tests
  • Develop user training requirements and conduct trainings where needed
  • Contribute with the Business to change management activities and deployment for the end customer.
  • Help identify Business impacts caused by the solution and prepare action plans
  • Provide level 3 production support when needed
  • Management of projects and initiatives in the scope
  • Engage and build strong relationships with all the stakeholders including the UK management, project team for the project success.
  • Participate and contribute to team catch up, reviews, retrospectives, progress updates and planning forums.
  • Create project schedules and keep realistic project plan – including risks, issues, and interdependencies with actions to manage the impact.
  • Set the project budget and manage any deviations on time.
  • Proactive project status reporting to management, sponsors and stakeholders and running steering committees.
  • Promptly escalate issues requiring support from line management and sponsors.
  • Ensure testing for all projects
  • Manage vendors for third party system implementation.
  • Ensure that the project is closed in a controlled manner, communicate learnings, providing final budget versus actuals status, and ensuring handover to production support teams.

 •  5 years of Business Analyst
 •  3 years of Project manager


 •  English:Fluent
 •  Spanish:Fluen



Tools / technologies / methodologies:
- Skilled at various business analyst practices – Produce clear user stories, create well-defined acceptance criteria, create test cases and executing testing activities
- Skilled at various project management practices e.g. Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall
- Understanding of reporting tools e.g. Power BI, Tableau / Knowledge of Jira, Confluence Wiki, Sharepoint (Desirable)
- Understanding of cloud infrastructure & knowledge of current automation tools ( Desirable)
