Position Purpose

Global Markets Sales based in EMEA are Relationship Manager (‘RM’) for approx. 3,000 Clients. The RM Support Hub Mumbai for Financial Institutions will assist the RMs with their regular responsibilities for the respective client. The accountability and final KYC approval will remain with the RM onshore. The RM Support Hub will be responsible for to initiate client onboarding or recertification request, Client assessment, review risk scoring, review regulatory file information and preparation of KYC files and the administrative maintenance of the client.

   

Responsibilities

·       Assist the RM with ongoing monitoring of client activities

·         Assist in preparing presentations for Credit Committees, including gathering and analyzing annual reports and other data to help support a credit decision

·         Actively maintain and develop an internal network amongst product partners within the BNP Paribas Group. Work in partnership with business lines to identify problems and design the best solutions for clients

·         Actively maintain and develop a broad and detailed knowledge in respect of products, processes and market awareness applicable to Financial Institutions

·         General administrative duties associated with client coverage including annual reviews, reporting, transaction documents negotiation, client relationship management tools and booked deals including validation by the business lines of the level of contribution

·         Assistance with client reach outs

·         Acts as escalation point for partners such as KYC, Legal, Risk, Operations

·         Manage the off-boarding of the client should business prospects are deemed limited

·       On behalf of the RM manages the responsibilities of KYC

·         Must initiate the KYC on boarding process and is responsible to collect the required data and documentation with support of the Client Management;

·         Is responsible for ensuring that client due diligence has been completed to a satisfactory standard, and is kept up-to-date;

·         Makes an assessment whether starting a new relationship or maintaining an existing relationship with a customer is appropriate, in respect of the reputation and the money laundering/terrorist financing/sanctions/PEP risks, irrespective of the possible type of business the customer is currently doing or intends to do with the bank or other Financial Institutions. This assessment must be formalized in writing in the KYC package (qualitative [SBO] opinion describing the risks and their mitigants is mandatory in all cases);

·         Prepare Call Memos as part of the recertification process

·         Uses the KYC scoring grid and judgment to determine the sensitivity, assisted by the Client Management team.  Candidate shall provide the Client Management team with the knowledge/details they need when contacts with clients are required;

·         Submits the client’s assessment as qualifies as “High Sensitive” to the CAC (Customer Acceptance Committee) and provides the CAC with all information and documentation it may require;

·         Employs  best efforts to maintain a thorough knowledge of clients from available internal and external documentary sources.

·         Keeps the KYC up-to date, and must trigger an ad-hoc review as soon as necessary, in particular in case of becoming aware of any material negative news with the assistance of the Client Management team

·       Assist the RM with Static Data maintenance

·         Ensures that static data is kept up to date in the referential systems

·       Ensures that client contact information is kept up to date

 

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

The candidate must have the following skills and qualities:

·       Experience in Capital Markets is an advantage

·       Excellent knowledge of  PPTX, Excel, VBA (other languages would be a plus)

·       Strong analytical and interpersonal skills as well as reporting capabilities

·       Strong communication and presentation skills both verbal and written

·       Proactive & innovative approach to dealing with challenges and finding solutions

·       Accuracy and absolute attention to detail required

·       Ability to communicate clearly in both oral and written form (English)

·       Ready to work in flexible work times – maybe required to work in EMEA time zone

Specific Qualifications (if required)

·       Bachelors/Master Degree in Accounting or Finance or Chartered Accountant or Engineering
