Assistant Vice President, APAC Consulting

APAC Consulting is the in-house strategy and management consulting team, servicing BNP Paribas’ business in APAC
The main objective of the team is to:
• Deliver strategic projects and formulate recommendations for Regional management, Business Lines and territories in the Asia Pacific region
• Design transformation initiatives in the Asia Pacific region in alignment with the APAC strategy

Position Purpose

Key Responsibilities

Deliver impactful recommendations using consulting methodologies and Banking knowledge on projects
- Take full ownership on complex modules, bringing value and simplifying approach and recommendations to match project needs
- Ensure end-to-end continuous high quality formalization of delivery
- Act with courage and transparency to selectively involve Project Managers, early-on, to secure quality of deliverables
- Systematically propose solutions for issues at hand and propose new ideas
- Progressively leverage on consulting methodologies and Metier knowledge to deliver impact on projects.  Enrich client experience to build long term, trustworthy client relationships

- Demonstrate reliability and credibility during client meetings by answering all the questions related to the assigned modules
- Working in co-design mode hand in hand with the clients, and building solid working relationship with the clients and counterparts
- Develop an understanding of clients’ issues by demonstrating active listening
- Progressively understand clients’ political stakes and how management decisions are made
  
Ensure people and team spirit development
- Ensure continuous alignment with Project Managers by proactively giving transparency and enabling guidance sharing
- Progressively manage, train on-the-job and motivate more junior team members
- Give and ask for feedback regularly
- Act as buddy of newcoming AVPs

Specific Qualifications Required


- Educational background: Graduate from Tier 1 University, Business or Engineering school
- Professional experience: Min. 5 years of relevant experience (external or in-house management consulting, strategy roles)
- Previous banking industry knowledge is much appreciated 

- Languages: Fluency in oral and written English, Mandarin or French a plus
