About the role
In this role you will lead the Asset Valuation team made up of a dedicated
team of valuation experts and statisticians who live and breath data
forecasting vehicle residual values & SMR budgets. It’s all about
predicting the future 2-5 years down the line to help us maintain healthy
margins and make profit.
You will work closely with vehicle manufacturers to review new products
who will welcome your opinion as a key industry influencer and these
relationships will play a key part in your success in this role to ensure we
position vehicles correctly.
You will also work closely with internal stakeholders to Head of
Department Level to ensure a collaborative approach to vehicle value setting
and you will also link in with Asset Risk locally as well as Asset Valuation at
Corporate Centre to guarantee policies are adhered to and best practice is
followed. Continually looking at areas for improvement and sharing these with
your peer group you will also give expert opinion to Pricing Strategies and be part
of the Valuation and Pricing Management team.
The ideal candidate will be a data and car geek! You will
be most comfortable up to your eyes in the detail analyzing data. Clearly
highly numerate you will have advanced Excel modelling skills and ideally come
from a statistical background. SAS would be the icing on the cake.
As important will be your communication and relationship
skills as you build credibility and long lasting relationships with both
internal stakeholders and the Manufacturers. As mentioned above, this is really

consider someone looking to step into their first management role.
Lastly, an interest in cars would be hugely beneficial as
that’s what we deal in and will be your world in this role!
