Asset Management - Investment - Junior ESG Specialist

Role Description and Purpose

We have an excellent career opportunity for an ESG Specialist in our Hong Kong office. The ESG Specialist will promote BNPP AM's Global Sustainability Strategy & ESG research internally and externally (global scope).

The successful candidate will work within the Sustainability Centre (members located in Paris, London, New York and Hong Kong), which undertakes innovative research and policy development, guides BNPP AM’s investment stewardship and industry engagement activities, and supports investment teams in accessing, integrating and reporting on ESG factors across the whole organization. This is a unique opportunity to assume an ESG role within a leading asset manager with an ambitious sustainable investment agenda.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft promotional and educational documents on environmental, social and governance issues related to investments made by BNPP AM on behalf of clients.
  • Support the preparation of business proposal documents focused on taking ESG criteria into account in investment choices, BNPP’s stewardship activity and overall sustainable investment approach, in particular through preparing responses to RFPs (Requests for Proposals) from clients and prospects
  • Provide presentations and talking points for Sustainability Centre's speakers (for internal and/or external audiences)
  • Respond to external surveys, consultations and reports from the media, political decision-makers or NGOs.
  • Keep the corporate website up-to-date on all things sustainable.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Graduate entry level position
  • Relevant financial and academic background
  • Strong knowledge and interest in environmental economics or related subjects
  • Ability to work effectively both individually and as part of an international team and with multiple stakeholders
  • Fluent in English
