We are seeking an Application Support engineer who will be responsible for providing application support for critical applications and assisting in migrating, testing and implementing them to Work Space 2020.


Responsibilities include:

  • Understanding of ITIL concepts relating to Incident and Problem Management will be desirable
  • Perform production support for application and platform incidents as needed; including rotation of 24X7 support, and participation in the resolution of escalated incident calls
  • Possess excellent analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, documentation, communication skills
  • Coordinate and ensure successful implementation and support of applications/network/infrastructure systems; proactively identify and troubleshoot performance issues
  • Drive continuous improvement of services and processes to increase platform stability and realize operational efficiencies
  • Experience in vendor interaction and working on vendor products
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology / DevOps
  • Experience in supporting development / QA and performance environments
  • Experience in enterprise monitoring tools
  • Experience in Vulnerability management
  • Ability and knowledge in PowerShell or shell scripting
  • Ensure monitoring alerts and systems events are assessed, prioritized, and managed
  • Participate / contribute in post incident reviews
  • Identify post incident review action items and process improvement opportunities
  • Ensure Business Continuity objectives are met
  • Develop and maintain process and procedure documentation (knowledge management)
  • Assure Operations Run Book and other knowledge management documents are up to date
  • Works with Change Management/ Release Managers on the evaluation of change events
  • Align service offerings with business strategies, goals, and objectives
  • Drive the implementation and adherence to incident, problem, and change management processes




  • 5+ years of overall experience in application support role
  • Strong technical experience in Operating systems such as Windows 10, Windows 2016 and Linux/UNIX
  • Strong technical experience with web-based applications and middleware/front end technology (including administration, management, and support)
  • Knowledge in Application Monitoring tools and log monitoring tools like Dynatrace, New Relic or AppDynamics and Splunk
  • Proficient in writing SQL queries,Shell Scripting, Perl Scripting, VB Script and Java Script
  • Exposure to Web sphere, WAS Management
  • Proficiency in .Net, SQL Server and Oracle


  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent
