Analyst - Accounting & Financial Reporting (gn)

 
 

Role responsibility

 
 
  • Participate in accounting production activities of BNP Paribas Austria, for transactional or non-transactional accounting, monthly closing and 1st level accounting controls
  • Produce monthly, quarterly & ad-hoc financial reporting to the HO, to the Branch and CIB EMEA regional management for BNP Paribas Austria
  • Perform accounting analysis and accounting controls reviews for financial reporting
  • Perform financial reporting consolidation of activities booked in BNP Paribas Austria Branch with  the CIB one into one single Branch reporting for Group Reporting needs
  • Perform 1st level controls of reporting to ensure compliance with Group Accounting Policies and reporting accuracy
  • Perform data quality controls for accounting and financial reporting, contributing to data quality remediation and improvement
  • Contribute to pre-closing process, (pre-closing meeting, closing calendar preparation, etc…)
  • Contribute to reconciliation controls with other reporting steams such as Local Regulatory Reporting, Management reporting, Liquidity reporting
  • Contribute to new transactions and new products process
  • Participate in the systems enhancements, upgrades and new version releases requested to facilitate new/modified reporting requirements, contributing to user acceptance testing
  • Lead or contribute to identifying operational process improvements in production, control procedures, and workflow organization to increase the team’s effectiveness  

Qualifications

   
 
  • Bachelor degree or above Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
  • Proficient knowledge and solid experiences in in Accounting /Financial Reporting, preferably in an banking organization 
  • Credibility and autonomy in interacting with business partners
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Enthusiastic and a team player with very strong work ethic and willingness to transfer knowledge
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a workflow within strict deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills (i.e. writing, listening, presentation)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, word)
