Under the sponsorship of the ALM Treasury COO Office, we are currently looking for a Business Analyst/Project Manager who will assist ALM Treasury teams in steering transversal projects, be they initiated locally or by Head Office, driven by business decisions, operational efficiency improvements, IT developments or regulatory requirements. Coverage encompasses all US ALM Treasury operations with significant interactions with BNP Paribas teams in New York.

Essential Job Functions

The ALM Treasury Business Analyst/Project Manager will contribute to the definition and implementation of the target vision for ALM Treasury in the North America Region for the coming years.

He/she will support the ALM Treasury teams in the evolution of their environment. This includes:

-    Implementing new activities, new products, new transactions set-up: business requirements definition, leading implementation, end-to-end testing, impact analysis, policies and procedures update, etc.

-    Contributing to central initiatives and projects: on liquidity, interest rate, fund transfer pricing, governance, modelling, systems, etc.

-    Improving operational efficiency: process enhancements, automation and innovative / disruptive ideas

-    Strengthening the control framework in a stringent regulatory environment

-    Accompanying IT upgrades/developments and reviewing IT roadmap and prioritization

-    Liaising with Paris & New York Business/Project Management teams to take advantage of similarities in processes, set-up, expertise, and ensure objectives are aligned and coordinated

-    Be a key point of contact within ALM Treasury for support functions (IT, Operations, FP&A, IG/Audit…)



Qualifications

Required Experience:

 

-    6-8 years of relevant experience in the Banking industry (ALM Treasury, Business Analysis/Project Management, Operations, Finance, Controls), with good knowledge of Capital Markets activities

-    Experience of managing projects involving IT components: architecture, flows, and database construction

-    Experience with multi-locations / multi-time zones and cross-cultural projects

-    Strong experience with MS Project, Microsoft Excel, Business Objects, Power Point & VBA

-    At least 2 year experience using Quantitative Risk Management (QRM)

Education:

 

-    Master's Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Financial Engineering (or other quantitative discipline combined with commensurate experience)

 

Skills:

-    Outstanding relationship and interpersonal skills

-    Excellent verbal and written communication in English (French is a plus, but not a must)

-    Analytical and problem solving, with a strong sense for processes, analysis, documentation

-    Rigorous, proactive, self-disciplined, self-motivated

-    Trained in Time Management and Project Management techniques, ability to manage changing priorities and high quality standards in a fast-paced environment

-    Knowledge of key Interest Rate Risk metrics such as NII, EVE, Interest Gap, and knowledge of key Liquidity Risk metrics such as Stress Testing, LCR & NSFR

-    Proficiency with MS Excel and SQL are a must (programming skills a plus)

-    Ability to analyze large datasets is a must (quantitative modeling is a plus)
