Accounting and Tax Analyst
Ensure the processes for settling and posting invoices in local and foreign currencies, advance payments and expense certifications of the entities under CIB Finance are carried out.
Maintain rigorous control over the entity’s administrative accounts, ensuring the quality of the corresponding accounting databases.
Ensure the tax regimes that are applicable to supplier management are appropriately determined.
Participate in the process of settling provider invoices.
Support the tax compliance and tax reporting activities of CIB’s legal channels in Colombia.
Ensure efficient flow and quality processing of accounting information related to purchasing activities, accounts payable and disbursements for administrative payments, excluding payroll and other payments managed by Human Resources.
Verify that the processes for receiving, accounting for, and paying administrative invoices (from external providers) are framed in a rigorous control environment, including the segregation of duties.
Provide reports on recording purchases and expenses, and a list of providers by cost centers.
Provide information on the performance and risk indicators of the activities under his/ her responsibility.
Follow the procedure for approving the external invoices (providers), ensuring that the corresponding delegation of powers policies are complied with for said approvals.
Ensure provider invoices, advance payments and other cash flows of the process are settled in a timely fashion and according with the accounting and tax law.
Maintain accounting production in the areas under his/ her responsibility (all of the entity’s administrative aspects, excluding payroll and others related to employee benefits), applying "self-checkups” that provide for the traceability and accuracy of all the accounts he/ she is in charge of, according to what is provided in BNP Paribas Group’s accounting control policies and local regulations.
Prepare and present the entity’s tax returns and other reporting regimes for local tax authorities, making sure technical specifications are used, and doing so at the time determined by the authority.
Carry out user acceptance tests and provide the first level sign-off on changes to providers’ invoicing systems.
Maintain a recurring regulatory update control on subjects under his/ her responsibility and communicate said updates to all Finance & Tax sub-departments. Ensure operating and reporting processes are updated in accordance with the evolution of the regulations that govern them.
Support the Tax Coordinator in managing tax compliance and tax reporting of all of CIB Colombia’s channels.
Produce, update and keep the performance indicators of the areas under his/ her responsibility operating.
Professional accountant with a minimum of 2 years of experience in taxes. Management and career related to intermediate knowledge of IFRS, accounting methods, taxes, tax methods, tax reporting and preparing related information.
Advanced skills in Office, and knowledge in provider management issues.
Managing databases that allow controlling and comparing providers.
Accounting and accounting regulation knowledge. And tax law knowledge.
Customer service, organization, task prioritization, analytical skills and detail oriented.
Pays attention to details, accuracy and a culture of compliance. Rigorous in applying controls.
Skills in office software tools, especially Excel and database information analysis (filters, dynamic tables and formulas).
